Omniscient POV:"Alright, so we've got finals in two weeks and I need all of your assignments by then." The class of seniors groaned as the male teacher wrapped up the block with a run down. "And though I usually don't have a late policy, points will be taken off each day your final is late. No exceptions, so get it done."
Allison, a random know-it-all that annoyed everyone around her, raised her hand with utmost efficiency. Mr. Halt turned from the board to face her,
"Yes, Ms. Jones."
"Is it an essay?"
"I-"
"And if so, how many words or pages are required?" Everyone groaned, louder this time.
"Does she ever shut the hell up?" An unknown male voice muttered from the back of the class. Students around him snickered.
"You might want to take some notes sweetheart," she snapped at him, craning her neck to the back of the class. "Because one of us has an A and the other has an F, I'm sure. Take a wild guess at who's who," she sarcastically gave him a fake, toothless smile. He glared at her as the students around him ooed. Allison rolled her eyes hard, turning back around.
"Alright people, let's not bicker here. It's never that serious," Mr. Halt spoke awkwardly. He's always been one of those teachers you could easily mistake for a student. "The requirement is three pages, Jones. However many words that is, as long as it's three pages." The class groaned again.
Five minutes before the bell was about to ring, Aria strolled into her fourth block, a venti Starbucks cup in her right hand, and her phone in the other. She wore flared yoga pants and a cropped long sleeve with a cut out neckline, allowing a black spaghetti strap to peek through on her right shoulder. Ugg tasman slippers were on her feet and her hair was in a claw clip, a few messy curls hanging on the sides of her face. A typical appearance for a female senior in the last month of the school year.
"Ah, Ms. Walton!" The teacher exclaimed, drawing everyone's attention to her, though they weren't surprised. "To what do we owe the pleasure!" She laughed,
"I have a test next block that I'm required to be in person for. Sorry to disappoint."
Mr. Halt slapped a hand across his chest, faking hurt expression as he now sat at his desk,
"So you didn't come to see your dear old favorite teacher?!" He wiped a fake tear, "Aria, I thought we were close man, what happened?" She giggled harder,
"We are, I promise!" Aria walked to his desk and sat her coffee down at the edge. "I'm here ain't I? I could've just waited until the bell rang and went straight to her class." He gave her a knowing look as she laughed through an excuse. "But I got here five minutes prior. Just for you dawg," she extended her arm toward him, pointing an honorary finger.
Mr. Halt hung his mouth open and looked upward, scoffing as if he was touched by her words. Aria laughed some more, and the bell rang right on cue.
"Say hi to Sade for me!" He yelled to her while she made her way out with the sea of students. "Ain't seen her in a minute either."
Neither have I, Aria thought to herself.
She shook it away before entering her fifth block. The class was lifespan development, and she had it with Kingston.
"Well well well, lookie lookie," he shook his head in amusement as she walked in and sat next to him with a smile.
"Mr. Rodney," Aria playfully bowed her head. "How do you do?" Kingston chuckled,
