Omniscient POV:
Stars sparkled in the vast night sky, assisting the moon with providing a glow for the couple cuddling on the long beach chair on the back patio. Their house provided a wooden platform just outside the sliding door of their bedroom that had a small table and two chairs, a long beach chair, and a hot tub built inside.
After coming back inside from spending some time on the beachfront, they decided to have chocolate and wine out on the patio since it was just too nice of a day outside.
"Did you really think I was going to get you a dog?" Lauren spoke softly into their lingering comfortable silence. Sade nodded against her girlfriend's chest. "What kind?"
"Probably a german shepherd or husky, since we both favor them."
"And what if I did?" Lauren asked, sipping her wine with her right hand while holding Sade's waist under their blanket with the left. "Get one?"
Disbelief wrote across Sade's face as she looked at Lauren, and her brow arched at the smirk displayed on her girlfriend's face. A smile swelled along her lips as a light chuckle seeped through,
"Honeybee, no way you actually got us a dog..."
"Just answer the question," Lauren giggled while taking one last sip before she sat up to put the glass on the table. She then turned to her and put a hand high on Sade's thigh. "What if I did? Would you be okay with that? Or would you prefer I asked you first?"
"Well I prefer we talked about it first, of course, because it's quite the adjustment, but I think I'd like one, yeah..." As each second passed, Sade's smile grew more timid as Lauren's gaze remained on her. "We'd have to work out certain things like who'd do what with it, but I think it'd be fun, watching you get dragged by a dog and all-" she giggled once Lauren playfully pushed her shoulder with an offended smile.
"Watch it be you that gets dragged, since you wanna play-"
"No yeah, of course, it'd totally be me," Sade smirked and nodded along, making Lauren narrow her eyes at her.
She smiled and chuckled as Lauren's gaze intensified, then she looked away once her girlfriend began to look her up and down. Once glancing back and finding that Lauren was still eyeing her with an amorous smirk tugging her lips, Sade dropped her head and tucked her bottom lip between her teeth.
"Why do you keep looking at me like that?" she mumbled, making Lauren's smirk deepen.
"Why not?..."
"Because it's making me..." Her words trailed when feeling a finger under her chin to lift it up. A puff of air then flew from her mouth once Lauren's thumb sensually brushed her bottom lip. "Don't start something you can't finish Lauren." Sade's voice had gone from soft to sultry as her eyes pierced into her lover's. The chill that immediately spiraled down Lauren's spine made her smirk and bite her lip. Their eyes never left each other's as Lauren slid her hand from Sade's chin to her bare chest, her finger now sliding under the brim of Sade's bikini top.
"And who says I can't finish it?"
"Me. I will put your ass to sleep, you keep touching me like that."
"You think so?" Lauren asked, her hand traveling further down until it reached for Sade's thigh to pull her on top of her. "You're sure about that?" she asked again, slowly letting her eyes travel up Sade's body before meeting her intense gaze.
"Positive-"
"Kiss me."
Sade stared at her for a second, contemplating whether or not she wanted to play around or give in just yet. Then she smirked,
