~ The Day Before Graduation ~
Hunter's POV:"So you're going to New York?"
"Yes Mimi," I answered the older woman with a sigh.
"And you're happy with your choice? This is what you want?" I nodded, handing her more baking ingredients.
"Despite leaving Tina, New York has always felt like the place for me. And it helps to know that Sade will be there too. At least I'll have something familiar."
"The weather change and culture shock is going to hit you like a bus child," she joked, giving me a knowing look.
I mirrored it, shrugging. "Eh, I'm not worried. I think it'll be fun to experience." She glanced at me with that homelike smile,
"Awe look at you, being all optimistic and positive," Mimi playfully shimmied her shoulders. I giggled, waving her off,
"Yeah yeah, you can thank Tina for that. She's really doing a number on me."
"Oh yes, how is she by the way?"

"Child you're a mess, I swear." Turning back to face me, she sat on the stool across from me. "So tell me..." Her words caused anticipation to seep in, and I sat up a bit,
"What...."
"What's the plan from now until orientation?"
Good question....
Mimi noticed my silence and hung her head with a sigh,
"Hun-"
"Mimiiii," I whined like a child, dramatically stretching my arms across the table and planting my forehead on it. She chuckled,
"You knew I'd ask child, I'm not sure why you're surprised."
"Yeah but that doesn't make an answer appear any sooner," my words muffled against the table. Sighing heavily, I then sat up to look at her. "I don't know Mimi, graduation is tomorrow and I'm already registered for housing and orientation, so I guess my plan is to live it up until move-in day," my shoulders shrugged. She nodded, grabbing a cookie from the center of the table,
