THURSDAY
Really, Jeff? Such a nice first impression you are giving to the person who could potentially provide you with a home and save your ass from being shipped abroad. Jeff scolded himself as he drove to Bible's place because he was running late. Very, very late.
It is already past 6 pm and he was supposed to meet with Bible at 5 pm. He cannot even send the guy a message because his phone battery died and he didn't bring his cable charger. If only the meeting with that music label finished early, but he can't be choosy on that either, he needed the internship.
He thought of canceling but his P'Mile called him this morning to remind him that his time to look for a new dorm is running out. If he can't, he will be forced to stay with Mile and his boyfriend, which Jeff rather not do.
*Rriiiiinnnnggg, rrinnnggg*
Bible stopped from reading as he heard the doorbell buzz. When he opened the door, he was greeted by a familiar face, beautiful as ever. He froze.
"Hi...I'm so sorry for being late, like I know it's way past our meeting time. I got held up with a meeting for my internship and I didn't know how to get out of it on time-", Jeff paused because Bible looked like he was bitten by a snake, "Bible, are you okay?"
"Huh, what? Oh! Yes, yes! Sorry, I was surprised I thought you are not coming anymore." Bible said in defense.
"I'm sorry, again. I mean to message you but my battery died" Jeff explained showing Bible his dead phone.
"It's fine, don't worry. An internship is important, of course, and I am not doing anything important anyway." Bible let Jeff inside his unit.
Jeff looked around the receiving area adjacent to the living room. The place is very neat, everything in its proper place. He smiled a little, remembering how Bible takes care of his things and surrounding, even when they were kids. His mom would even tell Jeff to be like Bible because he tends to scatter his things and then lose them.
"Have you had dinner?"
Jeff was pulled from his reverie by Bible's question.
"Yes, we ate during the meeting, thank you."
"Okay, rest for a bit, and let me know if you want to see the room already."
"Is this the first time you will be having a roommate?" Jeff asked, Do you remember me? he wanted to add.
"Ah, no. I used to live with my best friend, Bas, but he moved in with his boyfriend for this school year." Bible answered, God, you are still so beautiful, his silent thought.
"I see. I was looking for a vacant unit but I am pressed for time, so I thought, why not check your offered room. Maybe it'll work for me too."
"Right. Oh, do you want anything to drink? I have soda and water, but no alcoholic beverages. I drink but I don't stock them at home so..." Bible offered.
"Can I ask for a soda? I think I need additional sugar in my system, what's with a busy and stressful day. Also, I don't drink alcohol so you don't need to worry about that." Jeff smiled
"Alright, let me just get you one and also some chocolate cookies, I have some in the kitchen."
Chocolate cookies are Jeff's favorite, especially whenever he is feeling down or stressed since he was a kid.
While Bible was in the kitchen, the doorbell rang once again.
"Please get it for me, I'll be out in a minute" Jeff heard Bible called out.
Jeff opened the door and was surprised at who was on the other side.
Yibo's eyes narrowed upon seeing Jeff. He looked at the unit # again, and then back to Jeff.
"Bible is in the kitchen getting soda," Jeff said timidly.
"Do you live here?" Yibo asked flatly
"Not...yet. I'm here to check on the room-"
"Who is it, Jeff? Here is your soda." Bible interrupted the two and checked who was at the door, "Fuck" he muttered upon seeing Yibo.
"That is the plan, yes," Yibo said with a smirk.
Jeff gasped.
"Yibo!" Bible warned.
"Well, are you guys gonna let me in, or do I scram? If I remember it correctly, the agreed time is at 7 pm and it is 7 pm" Yibo asked a bit annoyed.
"No!" Jeff said, "Please, stay. I mean, I was late coming here so it isn't your fault. I don't want to be the cause of your misunderstanding, please"
Yibo felt guilty for making Jeff feel bad about the situation, at the same time irritated because he doesn't know why he is there in the first place.
Bible didn't want Jeff to leave without at least seeing the room, but Yibo is right, he arrived on time and it was Bible who forgot he got this appointment. Who can blame him though? After seeing Jeff at his door...Also, he was surprised that Yibo is hotter up close, who would want to let that chance pass by?
"We can re-schedule, Bible, I can come again when you are available just let me know. I don't want to ruin your date, it is not fair for him" Jeff said looking back at Yibo and opening the door for him to enter.
Yibo looked at Bible, and the latter just nodded, indicating that he can come in.
"This isn't a date, Satur, this is a DCB meet-up." Yibo naughtily whispered to Jeff when he passed by the latter as he entered the unit.
"Stop it, Yibo." Bible again warned Yibo and pulled him to his side.
Yibo just shrugged.
Bible felt embarrassed that he cannot look Jeff in the eyes.
Jeff thought for a moment, DCB? Isn't that the site where students go when they want to look for a fuck buddy? He mused.
"I'm sorry, Jeff, I will just message you—"
"Can I join?" asked Jeff.
Yibo, who was looking down at his phone, raised his head in a flash that almost made him feel dizzy.
Bible, who was talking and got cut off by Jeff's question froze, wide-eyed.
"What? What did you say?" Yibo asked Jeff, wanting to make sure he heard it right.
"Can I join, the two of you, for tonight?" Jeff asked again, he wasn't sure what he is doing or if the two will allow it, but what the heck? What is he to lose? He had a long day, might as well have fun.
Bible and Yibo looked at each other.
