Jeff turned to his right after sleeping in one position the whole night and almost fell out of bed. With fast reflexes and by instinct, Yibo looped his arms around Jeff's waist to prevent the fall, which woke Jeff in shock.
What...where who? were all the unfinished questions that run through Jeff's mind. He looked at the man beside him and the room that he was in, and then everything that happened came back to his memory.
"I hope that of all the things you are thinking right now, regret is not one of them" Jeff heard Yibo whisper beside him.
He is already dressed in a shirt and shorts, while Yibo is wearing just sweatpants.
Jeff sighed, "Nah, I was just confused for a bit"
"Hmm"
"Where is Bible?"
"Cooking, I guess. I can smell bacon other good stuff."
"Then get up and let's have breakfast. Unless you wanted to stay here the whole day?" Jeff said to Yibo as he pushed the latter off the bed.
"Ugh! This is why I always hosted, it's a hassle to be the one to leave after. Tsk!" Yibo complained as he got up.
Wow, always? It means he had done this before and not just once, Jeff raised his brow thinking.
Yibo noticed the other man's reaction, "Yeah, I have 3 or 4 times I think. I never had a steady relationship so..."
"No judgement!" Jeff immediately said, hoping he didn't offend Yibo with his reaction.
Yibo pulled Jeff into an embrace and kissed him on the cheek, "None (offense) taken."
They both went out to the kitchen after doing their morning hygiene routine and found Bible setting up the table. Yibo immediately helped in preparing the food that Bible cooked while Jeff made coffee for Bible and juice for Yibo.
"Good morning" they all greeted each other.
"Do you always cook breakfast for your—" Yibo began to ask
"No. You guys were the first people I invited here for...this." Bible immediately answered without letting Yibo finish his question.
"Oh, why?" - Jeff
"What do you mean?" - Bible
"Well, Yibo said he had always been the host. Were you a guest before?" - Jeff
Bible was silent.
"Jeffy, baby, why do you assume that Bibs had done this before?" - Yibo
"Huh?...Oh! Oh, no, I'm sorry. I thought, with how you reacted to me last night, this wasn't your first too," - Jeff
"It wasn't my first time, but It is with DCB" Bible clarified,
"I see, I get it now, I'm sorry" Jeff said guiltily.
"It's fine. You may continue checking the room later" Bible said to Jeff, "—and you" he continued looking at Yibo,
"Are you renting out one of your rooms?!" Yibo suddenly asked.
"I was about to say you may leave but...yeah, I am, and it was the reason why Jeff was here in the first place."
"Oohh. Can I check it too? I am looking for a place to rent too because my contract will expire soon and I will be homeless." - Yibo
"What? No! I saw it first" - Jeff
"You are not sure yet if you will like and take it, though. My contract expires tomorrow so if there is any chance, I can't just let it pass" - Yibo
