-Kausiwa-
They looked like somewhat like Tonowari. The boy looked grossed out, and the girl looked confused. I felt like troubling Tonowari, due to him being such a tease. "Can I get off now, or do you want us to stay in this position?" Tonowari looked taken aback by what I said, but the teenage girl started to chuckle. Tonowari calmed himself quickly and smirked. "No, these are my children Ao'nung and Tsireya." I was taken by how calm he was, but I still wrestled for my escape and got free. I sat next to Tonowari and gave the children a polite smile. Tsireya returned, but Ao'nung was more distant. "Come sit in front of us kids. I want to introduce you to my soulmate, Kausiwa." They sat in front of us as order by their father. "Kausiwa, this is by son, Ao'nung, and my daughter, Tsireya. Ao'nung and Tsireya, this is Kausiwa. She has no memory of her life before I found her, but when I called her darling she got a memory of her ex mate died and also found out their son died."
Tsireya seemed to be sad when Tonowari said that. It touched me to know she cared even though I am a stranger. Ao'nung, on the other hand, didn't seem to believe it. "How do you know that she is telling the truth? She is from a mountain clan! She could be a spy from one of the clans!" Tonowari looked furious. It's not the right time to be thinking this, but Tonowari looks hot mad. "AO'NUNG!" Tonowari slammed his hand on the floor making Tsireya, and Ao'nung jump. Tonowari grabbed my hand before he spoke. "She is my soulmate and I believe that Eywa wanted us to be soulmates for a reason. We were brought together by her being chased by a pack of animals in the forest, her being caught in the strongest storm that has ever been seen, escaped an akula by finding somewhere she could rest, and she killed an akula that revealed her true strength. I believe that she will be a blessing to our clan."
Tonowari took a deep breath in and turned serious. "Ao'nung, you being so narrow minded and so gullible as to believe what others say without any proof is why you will not be Olo'eyktan. Tsireya is training to be Tsahìk because of that. She will marry someone of her choosing that she believes will make a good Olo'eyktan." I saw Ao'nung turn a dark shade of purple due to the embarrassment. He stood up and ran out of the marui. I was worried and turned to Tonowari. He looked like he was ashamed by what he said, so I wanted to help him. I put my other hand on top of his hand that is gripping my hand, so he looked at me. "You should go talk to him, so you don't loss him. You are the only one that can solve this. Try to see him as your son and not just another one of your... our people." Tonowari smiled and nodded. "Tsireya, show Kausiwa around the village." She smiled and nodded. Tonowari left after that.
-Tonowari-
I left Kausiwa with Tsireya, so I could go talk to Ao'nung. I really have been too hard on him. I wander around the village wondering where he could have gone until it hits me. He must be where I took him after I first took him hunting. He loved it there. I felt really guilty for what I said to him. I call my skimwing and go to the underwater cave. I hope he's there. I made it to the cave and surfaced. I was relieved when I saw Ao'nung, but when he saw me, he covered buried his face into his knees. I got off my skimwing and went to sat next to him. He hugged his legs tighter, and I sigh. "I know what I said was uncalled for, but I feel the need to protect her. I don't know why our bond is stronger than what I've heard, but I want to be with her. I was so happy when I found her." I saw him relax, so I did, too.
"When your mother left me, I thought that I would never love again. That feeling changed when I saw her and the mark. I had started to yearn for my soulmate that I didn't even know when the bond between your mother and I was severed. She gave me hope when she showed that she could feel our bond. She has no memories of her life and needs triggers to remember, but I am scared what might if we push too hard." I took a deep breath in before I spoke. "I am sorry for being too hard on you." It was quiet and that worried me until I felt Ao'nung lean his head on me. I heard him take a deep breath in before he spoke. "I know that I angered you with how I treated your soulmate. I have heard the adults in the village take about the bond between soulmates. They talk about how strong and sacred it is. I am sorry for over reacting father."
I smiled and hugged him close to my side to comfort him. "Can you promise me that you will at least try to get to know her before judging her like the others? We know nothing about her, and she knows nothing about herself. It can be scary being somewhere you don't understand." Ao'nung seemed to be thinking hard about what I just said, but he seemed to have gotten the point. "I will try father. Even thought I don't trust her, I try to keep an open mind. A mind that is more open than my mother's." We both laughed at that statement. "That is a good start. Being as closed minded as your mother isn't good. It can start problems, and it might not be easy to those problems." Ao'nung nodded his head in understanding. After our conversation, we talked about different things that have been happening in the village until it was time to go. By the time we got back to the village, it was eclipse.
