-Kausiwa Ruby's POV-
I woke up in a rainy strange forest with a headache. Ugh, my head. Where am I? I couldn't remember how I got there or what my life was like before. I could only remember her name. I was confused by my appearance. I had white skin, a white furry tail, and sharp claws. I started panicking due to having no memories.
I stood up and started to walk in a direction. I didn't know where I was going, but I wanted to try to find someone for help. After 5 hours of walking, I grew tired and started to lose hope. I was going to rest where I stopped until I heard a growl. I turned around in fear and saw creatures with similar features to me. I debated whether to use her knife or to run, but I didn't have time to decide because one of the creatures pounced at me. I flipped it over my shoulder and stabbed its heart. I was confused as to how I was able to do it, but I didn't dwell on it for long because the other creatures got more hostile. I decided it was better to run. I ran until I was at the edge of a cliff that hung over a raging ocean. I knew that I only had two choices. One being that I try to fight all those creatures, and two being that I jumped into the ocean. I chose the second one and jumped in the ocean.
I swam underwater to try and avoid the tides, but I had to come up for air and that was proven hard. I had to keep going further down after going up for her air breaks. I eventually found an underwater cave and hoped it would lead to somewhere calm with air. As I swam to the cave, I saw an underwater being with sharp teeth swimming towards me. I swam faster and barely made it to the cave with the creature slamming into the cave still trying to get me. I took one last look at the creature before going further into the cave due to not having another choice. I swam until I saw an air pocket. I swam to it in need of air and saw that there was land that I could rest on. I'm so tired after all the swimming and nearly dying. I'll rest here until the storm clears. I got to the land and laid down to rest for the night.
In the morning
I woke up with a mild headache and had a bad feeling but ignored them. I did some stretching and then dived back into the water. I swam to the entrance and looked around for the creature. It seems safe I hope it is. I swam into the open and looked around for any living being. I could see a beam of light underwater coming from the sun. It gave me a good feeling, so I swam to it. I swam to the surface and looked around. I saw men with light blue skin on creatures with long mouths and sharp teeth. I noticed that one of them had something over their shoulders with orange strings. I was happy to find someone that could help me. "Help! I don't know where I am! Please, help me!" The heads of the men shot towards my direction. They seemed to be talking, but when they turned back to my direction they had wide eyes as they looked behind me. I turned around and saw the creature that chased me underwater. I froze in fear until I heard the one with orange strings yell. "Swim away fast! Hurry!"
They didn't have to tell me twice before I dived back underwater just in time before it could bite me. I swam away as fast as I could and notices that I was going a lot fast than before, but I didn't have time to dwell on that thought before the creature slammed into my stomach and slammed my back into a rock pillar that was nearby. I managed to keep holding my breath despite the impact. I clawed at its mouth causing it release some pressure. My body moved on its own as I made my way under the creature and to where I hoped its heart was. I felt my body grow stronger and then I jammed my hand through its skin and into its heart. I felt it struggle until its heart stopped. Even though it attacked me, I still felt bad. I hope it will find peace.
I turned around and saw the men rushing towards me in awe and confusion, but I was exhausted and felt dizzy. As I fainted all I saw was an orange blur and felt a hand pull me into their body.
-Tonowari's POV-
I was on a hunting trip with two other hunter. We were about to head until we heard a woman yell sounding desperately. "Help! I don't know where I am! Please, help me!" She looks different like those in the mountain that are always at war with other mountain clans, but she seems different in a way. Ever since me and Ronal separated, I haven't been interested in any one, but when I saw someone that was from a prideful clan asking for help, I found her intriguing. "What would you like us to do with her Olo'eyktan?" She doesn't have a weapon with, so she likely can't hurt us. This is also akula infested waters it isn't safe for her to be here alone with no weapon. "We take her to our clan and decide there. It is too dangerous here." The two Metkayina men nodded there heads at the decision of their leader. When we turned back to her, we widened their eyes in shock and worry upon seeing an akula coming at her from behind. "Swim away fast! Hurry!"
When I saw the woman narrowly avoid getting bit by driving underwater, I felt a strong feeling of worry that I didn't understand. Why do I worry about her so much? It could be possible that she is my soulmate. I need to check her for my soulmate mark. I snapped out of my thoughts and had the other hunters go underwater with me to help the woman. By the time we went down, we saw her kill the akula with her own hands. This shocked me because even I needed some help the first time I killed an akula. I hurried to her side when I saw her looking like she was gonna faint. I grabbed her as her eyes closed. I looked at her hand as I held her in my arms and saw my mark. My mark! She is my soulmate! I must tell my people! We must head back to the village. I have an announcement to make. The two men nodded at their leader's statement. The three men made their way back to the clan not knowing how much help Kausiwa would actually be.
