The human body can only take so much stress before it becomes too much. Especially when that body harbors an awesome power of epic proportions deep within.
Humanity has evolved over time, becoming stronger, more durable.
In a world with heroes, villains, and vigilantes, humanity has changed.
Neither side is ever at peace, and that causes stress on all sides.
Midoriya Izuku is one of those who was greatly affected by that. His teachers and former mentor all expect big things from him. And for a 16 year old it's just too much to handle sometimes.
It affected his body and mind equally in horrible ways.
His body was all kinds of messed up. If he overexerts himself, it's plasuble that he could lose his right arm. If that wasn't worrying enough, his body was littered with scars that stung often. His right bicep had a burn scar that always irritated him whenever it was warm.
Recovery Girl gave him a prescription for medicinal Marijuana to help alleviate the chronic pain in his arm and reduce muscle spasm he gets every once in a while. It also helped with reducing his severe anxiety and pstd from all the times he almost died at the hands of the villains.
He knew very well the dangers of this profession but he sure as shit didn't think that it would all happen within his first fucking year at UA. This life was fucking him over in alot of ways and the herbs he received from Recovery Girl was one of the few methods that actually helped him.
Not to mention the fuckton of nightmares he has every night. He can barely get at most 2 hours of sleep every night. Marijuana helped his body relax at night, and the terrors slowly but surely went away.
So right now, Izuku himself was heading up to the rooftop to relax.
Pain suddenly flared on his arms. Every once in awhile his arm would just span up and start hurting. He fucking hated it.
"I forgot my arm brace. God damnit!" He tried to stabilize his hands, but it was impossible. They were too shaky, and he struggled to even turn the handle on the door.
It sucked feeling so useless.
Eventually, he was able to calm down enough to open the door. The cold breeze immediately hit him on the face. "Perfect."
He sat at the ledge of the rooftop before taking out some paper and a plastic bag. He wrapped it up before taking out a lighter, which he fumbled once again thanks to his shaky hands and dropped it off the rooftop.
"FUCK!" He didn't mean to yell, but these arms of his are a fucking disability at this point. "Dumb arms." He hated his body. He hated that he always broke himself. He hated that he had to put up with so much stupid shit from the villains. He hates that he has to keep fighting constantly.
He will never regret saving Eri and Kota.
You know that green lighting that emits whenever he uses his Quirk? That green stuff? Yea that stuff is warm. So he learned a neat trick with it. If he concentrates enough, he can use those sparks to light up his blunt.
Once lit, he took a quick puff, exhaling the smoke as rings. Another neat trick he learned. It was fun stuff.
"RG always got that good shit." At some point, Recovery Girl noticed that the boy had become addicted to it, but she didn't deny him what he needed.
If all else, this only helped him in the long run. He's become more active in class. He stopped dragging his feet and is much more creative when training his Quirk. His body has become so relaxed now that he became a more socially active individual. His stutter was gone. He felt comfortable when people touched him. It was a complete overhaul in personality while still keeping that heroic heart he's always had.
