All students love to get away from school from time to time, and that's just normal. However, everything about the school these two lovebirds attend is anything but normal. It's too hectic and chaotic day by day that they just wanna step away from it for weeks on end. And today, they had the chance to do so.
And how did they decide to spend the first day away, out on a date by the park. The two went for a stroll and ended up buying some ice cream, vanilla for Izuku, and chocolate for Kyoka. Basic, but it's what they like.
However, their date had been interrupted when they heard a little girl crying.
"Ughhhhhhhhh!" izuku sighed loudly, he's tired of hero work at school, and he didn't wanna deal with it outside of school. He resigned to his fate and dragged Kyoka with her to approach the crying girl, damn his kind heart. "Hey, kiddo, what's wrong?"
The girl sniffles as she looks up to see the duo. She explained that her dog ran away and she could not find him. "A lost dog, huh? Should be simple, with my speed and your impeccable hearing, I'd reckon we can find him in less than thirty minutes." Izuku began stretching as he prepared to start running.
"So you mean you'll help find my dog?" The little girl asked, full of hope that he'd find him.
"Course we will, were hero students, it'd be bad if we left without helping, right?" Kyoka winked as she handed the little girl her remaining ice cream. "Here, you can finish this. Wait by this fountain, and we'll be back with your dog, kay?"
"Ok." The girl said as she began licking the ice cream. Before they left, though, she described what her dog looked like. It was a big golden retriever with red eyes and a specific mark on its paws.
"Golden retriever, red eyes and a mark on its paws. Ok, got it. Don't worry, kid, we'll find her!" She nodded as she watched the two hero students take off.
30 minutes later, her dog simply walked right up to her. She was so ecstatic that she hugged the two as tightly as they could. However, they didn't even react. Even the dog licking izukus face did not snap him out of it.
As if he was in a trance, he just kept staring forward, same with Kyoka. They just had a look of pure disbelief. That damned dog who had led them on possibly the worst chase of their life had simply taken a leisurely stroll back to the park. All that shit they suffered, just for it to come back on its own.
What exactly happened?
Let's find out.

Without hesitation, the couple sprang into action, their date turning into an unexpected adventure. They scoured the city, from the dizzying heights of skyscrapers to the shadowy alleys where cats reigned supreme. Thanks to his versatility and agility, and her super hearing, they were able to keep track just where exactly the dog went.
The chase led them through bustling markets, where Izuku accidentally knocked over a fruit stand in his haste, apples rolling in every direction. Kyoka couldn't help but chuckle at his apologetic bowing to the vendor, even as she used her quirk to amplify her voice, calling out for the dog.
"IM SORRY IM SORRY I PROMISE ILL PAY FOR EVERYTHING AFTER I FINISH FINDING THIS DOG, HERE'S MY NUMBER AND I PROMISE ILL BE BACK!" Once again, he bowed profusely and continued his search for the dog.
Kyoka spotted something out of the corner of her eye, peeking through an alleyway as the behind of an animal. "That has to be it!"
"I got it!" Izuku launched his black whips around the corner to pick up the dog, when he brought it back towards them, color them surprised to see an incredibly fat cat. "Are?"
"UNHAND HIM YOU THIEVES!"
"Huh?" They both turned to their left to see a giant of a woman barreling towards them only to get smacked face first by her purse.
"Oh Mr snugglebottoms are you OK. Did those mean people hurt you in any way?" As she retreated, Kyoka rubbed her nose, wondering what the hell was in that purse that hurt so much.
"God damnit." She said as she stood up, dusting herself off. Beside her, izuku was lying down exhausted by everything that has happened so far.
"Kill me now!" He groaned. He just wants to find this dog and go home. Screw everything else.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, the couple found themselves back at the park, exhausted and disheartened.
"Aw man, it's way too late now, and we never found him. That little girl is gonna be so sad." Izuku was scratching his back as he heard his girlfriend talk. The thing that hurts the most out of this is that she's about to let a little girl down. He had promised her that they'd find her dog, but they failed. Thats when they heard it-a soft bark, coming from the direction of the fountain they had met the owner hours earlier.
There, splashing in the water with a carefree spirit, was the dog, along with her excited owner who was playing with him, its tail wagging as if it hadn't led the two on a wild goose chase. Izuku and Kyoka shared a look that was frankly too disgusting to describe.
They heard the words the little girl spoke and even felt her hugging them tightly, calling them her heroes, but it was just going in one ear and out the other. The situation was too messed up for them to think straight.
As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, Izuku and Kyoka sat back down by the fountain, their date resumed with an added story to tell. They watched the dog play in the distance its owner, its joyful barks, and her charming laughter a sweet melody to their heroic hearts. And in that moment, they realized that sometimes, the greatest adventures could happen when you least expect them, and the best memories were those shared together-even if it meant chasing dogs through the city. 🐕💖🌆
Yea, they went through a hellacious time trying to find him, but seeing the absolute smile of happiness that little girl held, it suddenly made things worth it.
That's why they're heroes. For things like that.
"You know, after today, I think I'm more of a cat person." He told Kyoka, who was washing the sweat off with the fountain water.
"Tell me about it. My feet are killing me. And here I thought hero training was tough." That dog put them through so much hell.
"Right? If I have to hear one more person say,'It's just around the corner,' I'm going to scream." The number of people who told them the same thing or flat out ignored them was infuriating.
"Oh God, im pretty sure we're gonna miss curfew now. The gates are gonna be locked, and Aizawa is gonna be waiting for us with a punishment in tow." Kyoka was suddenly not looking forward to heading back to bed.
"I can not begin to imagine how we are gonna explain to Aizawa .'Sorry we're late. We were outsmarted by a dog.' Fucking hell he's gonna have our asses for this." Both students did not wanna go back anymore.
But unfortunately they had to, might as well get it over with than to prolong it any further.
"Despite everything, I had fun. At the very least, we spend the day together. . . even if it was a bit unconventional." The date fell apart pretty much, but at least they were together.
"Heh, yeah, I guess so."
"I had fun." Izuku said.
"Me too, Izuku. Me too."
All in all? Horrible day, fun bit weird date, ending it all with the satisfaction of seeing the little girls smile.
