It was supposed to be a normal day out between Izuku and Kyoka, but when he received a text from his professor to meet him at the police station, he was confused as hell.
He urged Kyoka to go ahead as he opted to call his mother to inform her that he might miss dinner that day. As he did, Kyoka found Aizawa with the detective, along with a few police officers, surrounding a computer.
"What's happening? What are you guys looking at?" She asked. Aizawa didn't say anything but motioned with his finger to get closer. She did and took
k a look at the computer to see what was on screen. A mugshot and a warrant for an arrest. The man on screen looked exactly like
"Hey, so what's the problem, Aizawa?" All heads turned to look at the source of the voice, Izuku. "Why's everybody looking at me?"
Silence.
1 hour later.
Izuku was so done with today that he can't be bothered to actually do this investigation, but his damn teacher forced him to. He sighed for the umpteenth time in this past hour.
Kyoka, who was walking next to him, had been giggling to herself the entire time watching his misery.
"The faster we finish, the faster we get out of here." She said. They've been walking for almost an hour now, and they've nowhere near close to finding the guy. All that was known is that he frequents Musutafu valley quite often, one of the oldest neighborhoods of Musutafu itself and has become a place of notoriety as of late due to the influx of crime building up around these parts.
The suspect apparently engages in his suspicious activities in this neighborhood after dark.
Izuku and Kyouka are currently approaching the suspect who's just sitting down on a bench, jamming out to something.
"It's like looking in a mirror, huh?" Kyouka joked, poking at his side.
"Yea, right." Izuku didn't see the humor in it. "Yo dipshit!" He called out.
Hearing a voice, the suspect turned the music off to look at the two heroes before them. "Holy shit, what the fuck did I smoke?" The suspect was stunned, standing before him was some freaky Friday type shit. The hero looked just like him.
"See? I told you!" Everyone but izuku saw the resemblance. Was it simple denial? Possibly.
"Alright, this is stupid. You handle it Earphone Jack." Izuku simply walked to the corner of the street and wallowed in his own dilemma alone while she questioned the suspect.
'He doesn't look like me.' He kept repeating over and over and over in his head.
Meanwhile, Kyouka was asking him routine questions, identifying himself and stating what he was doing at this late hours with his loud music.
"Eyewitnesses state that they've spotted you selling drugs in this very area. You got anything to say about that?" Kyouka said, listening closely for any tell in his voice, body movement, and heartbeat.
"Nah, that's not me, I know I hang out here a lot and smoke a lot, but I'm not in that business, man. I just enjoy it, not distribute it. Swearsies bro." The not Izuku replied, supposedly telling the truth.
Kyouka paid hard attention but no dice. He wasn't lying. "I see, then why are people reporting you as a drug dealer? Got some bad blood between these folks.
"I think they don't like me cus I'm always here chilling bro. They don't understand the cool lifestyle that I live and preach man. Peace and love."
She crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow. "Right. Well if it's not you then you're free to go. Just one little bit of advice. Lower your music because it's annoying and disturbing the peace."
"Sure thing Ms Hero." The man turned a knob as the volume significantly lowered and gave her a thumbs up and she smiled in response.
Walking away she approached Izuku who was still moping on the street corner.
"Suspects clear, it's not your twin brother."
"We do not look alike!"
"Keep denying it. It'll only get funnier." Kyoka giggled. She looked back to see the suspect getting up to leave, probably going home. When out the corner of her eye she caught sight of a suspicious hooded man lurking in the distance behind a staircase. He seemed to be talking into some sort of device, Kyoka quickly dragged Izuku behind a wall and extended her jacks closer to try and listen in on him.
"Shh, got someone suspicious." Izuku quietly nodded as he waited for her to finish.
Her eyes widened at what she heard. "They're gonna kill your brother!" She whispered frantically, much to his chagrin.
"Let's just get this other guy. I'll go from above, you try and corner him. Got your earpiece?" He asked as he turned his own on.
"Sure do. Move out!" Kyoka darted from behind and immediately dashed at the hooded man. Being caught off guard, he dropped the knife he was gonna use to kill the initial suspect, and ran away with her following closely behind.
"He's heading up the stairs into the apartments!" Trying to stop him she reached out with her jacks in an attempt to apprehend him but he pulled out a gun and shot at her making her retreat. Thankfully it didn't make much noise since it had a silencer on but she had to back away now.
Kyoka watched him climb onto the rooftops using an air vent system sticking out of the wall and began running across the rooftops.
The man ran frantically hoping to escape the heroes, when he turned back to see the woman no longer after him he breathed a sigh of relief unaware there was someone watching him from above.
"You fool." Was all he heard before he was knocked upside the head and being strung up upside down from some sort of black tentacle.
"What the hell?!" The hooded man yelped in fear, hoping he wasn't dropped.
"So you're the one causing trouble in this neighborhood?"
The man being hung tilted his head up to see who had him. Izuku was looking down on him as he had black whip tightly wrapped around the man's leg.
One interrogation later, plus a broken leg, and Izuku along with Jirou and the police were raiding the base of these low life gangsters thanks to the info he so graciously got from the man that he captured. What a kind individual who so graciously delved that information to him.
"All secure!" Kyoka spoke into her comms. Every thug had been apprehended, marking the end of the mission. "Job well done, everyone!"
Izuku was fixing up his glove as one of the guys that tried to run tried to stab his hand. He got a nice punch to the face for it, instead.
"All done here, let's round them up and take them to the station!" Izuku dragged a few bodies along with a rope that a fellow officer had tied them up with.
Raid complete, all the members of the gang had been successfully locked up!
Later that night, Izuku and Kyoka were taking a stroll near that same park they had found the original suspect.
"So you really think that he looks nothing like you, not even a slight resemblance? Deep deep down in your heart, you don't see it?" The resemblance was uncanny, and she, along with Aizawa, will die on that hill. That man looked very alike to her boyfriend.
Inhale and exhale through the nose. "Fine, damn it. He may have a little bit of a resemblance to me. But that's it, other than the hair and freckles, nothing else is remotely similar." He admitted.
"I knew it, bro! We're totally twins, dude! Give me a hug, brother from another mother!" Izuku felt embrace him and felt fear throughout his body.
"Did you get that, Aizawa?" Kyoka shouted as she gave a thumbs up to her teacher, who was hidden close by recording the entire thing. His admission caught on camera.
"HE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ME!"
Right, like anyone would believe that. Aizawa and Kyoka will forever die on this hill that they look the same.
