XVI. Rumors
MADISON, JOSH, AND BRYCE were hanging out together at the restaurant when the door chimed and opened. They looked over and there everyone was.
Madison looked at Josh with a pale face. "Josh, what the fuck." She turned completely around. Bryce being Bryce, he waves them over.
Madison had changed in the past few months, so hopefully, they wouldn't recognize her. She now has dark brown hair and her face changed somewhat.
"Hey Bryce, Josh. What're y'all doing? Who's this?" Madison looked up at the group. "My name's Vanessa." She quickly spoke.
"Your voice sounds familiar." Thomas said. Then everyone sat down. "Sorry, we'll be right back." 'Vanessa' said and grabbed Josh's wrist, making him get up.
They practically ran away. "Madi, I hate to break it to you, but your name is NOT Vanessa." He stopped her. "They don't recognize me, thats good. I'm putting that behind me."
"You can't just lie. I'll bet you that Bryce is gonna make us go to a party or something and you have to tell them." Madison hit him, "shut the fuck up, I know!"
And with that, they walked back. "I have something to confess." She said, as Josh say down. Everyone looked at her. "My name isn't Vanessa."
"I'm Madison." She said, and Mia got up. "Madi!" She exclaimed. Mia hugged Madison, but Madison stepped back.
"Sorry, but we aren't like that anymore." She crossed her arms, and her eyes met with none other than Vinnie. "Oh fuck, your here too?" She pointed him out, and he shrugged.
"Anyway, we're going to a party tonight." Bryce said. "I literally hate everyone that's gonna be there. Fuck no." She smiled.
"Please." Josh whined, grabbing her hand. She just simply shook her head. "You only have to hang out with me. Please."
She pulled her hand away. "Fine, but I will be in a mood. I lost my appetite, I'm leaving." She turned her heel and went outside, so did Josh.
"I'll go with you." He opened the door for her, and she got in. "Hope Bryce can catch a ride with someone." "Probably his new best friend, Vinnie Hacker." Josh joked.
They looked in and Bryce was laughing with Vinnie. "Man, I cannot believe I have to go to a fucking party with these assholes."
She gets a text.

And with that, she blocked him. Josh, her best friend, noticed this saddening face on hers and grabbed her hand. "What happened?"
"Nothing. Don't start the car, I'll be back." She got back out and walked into the restaurant. She stopped at the table.
"Vincent motherfucking Hacker, get your ass up right the fuck now." She said, as everyone looked toward her. All of her confidence she had, quickly faded.
"I think we're due for a talk." She takes him out of the restaurant and told Josh to wait a moment. She went to the side of the building.
"What the fuck, Madi? You caused a whole scene." Vinnie said. "What the fuck, Vincent? Why are you being such a bitch over something that didn't even happen?"
"Madi, I really like you. But, you know how the media is and that I don't do relationships, so why are you so pressed?" He asked, ignoring her question.
She slapped him. "I was doing good until you decided to break everything I worked hard for." "You didn't work hard! You, technically, weren't even supposed to join!"
"I meant overcoming my fear of you!" She said. Vinnie looked at something. "Guys, what the fuck are you doing? This is a personal matter." Everyone just slowly backed up.
"What do you mean, fear of me?" He asked. "I was afraid of you, you ass hole. You knew that and I told you. I let you in and you fucked it all up!" She hit him again.
He caught her hand. "Madison, I really love you, I do. Which is why I told you we couldn't keep doing what we were doing. I didnt want to ruin our relationship."
Madison wiped her tears. "Why do you lie to me?" She crossed her arms as he pulled her closer. She just let her head hang on his chest, arms still crossed.
"I'm a lot of things, but I am not a liar, Madison." He said, putting his head on hers. She laughed, "I still hate you." She said, causing Vinnie to laugh too.
"Madison, is everything ok now?" He asked, and she nodded "I guess I just needed to get my anger out and I took it on you. I'm so sorry." She said, and he shrugged.
"We all miss you and love you." "I'm not moving back in. I have to go to college soon." She smiled and he did too.
