Cameron and Madison sat on the couch, as if nothing happened. "Did you get hurt?" Madison asked, looking at him. He shook his head. "No, I got him really." He laughed. Madison laughed too. She got a text from Vinnie. "Can you come upstairs for just a second?" She liked his message.
"I'll be right back, sorry." She said, walking up the stairs, into Vinnie's room. Vinnie looked up at her from his gaming chair and walked toward her, closing the door. "I think we should talk about something." He said, seriously. Madison sighed and sat down on the bed. "Go ahead."
"I heard your conversation with your father." He looked down at his hands, picking at his nails. Madison widened her eyes, reaching over toward Vinnie, grabbing his hand. He stood up and sat next to her on the bed.
"I know I fucked up in high school. I don't think we should be together. You're an amazing person, but you don't deserve an asshole like me." Madison cleared her throat. "My dad is an asshole, ok? Look, we all make mistakes. Plus we were 14 years old, you changed, Vinnie, " she turned toward him.
"You fail to realize that I really do love you. Regardless of your past, present, and future. You're afraid of commitment, and I really do understand that. You look for ways out of a relationship because you think I'm going to leave or something. I'm not. Not now, not ever. I love you."
Vinnie looked at her, his eyes soft. She opened up her arms and Vinnie hugged her. She kissed his forehead. "Don't you ever worry about us, ok?" She stated and he nodded. He looked up at Madison, who put her hands on his face, "I love you too, Madi." He said, smiling. He nodded, "I know you do."
She thought about her recent moment with Cameron. She wasn't ever going to do something that stupid again. Madison stood up, "Do you wanna hang with Cam and I?" She asked and Vinnie nodded, as she lifted him up with her hand.
They walked downstairs and Cameron wasn't there. He left to go be with his girlfriend. Madison realized what she had done. Both of them just cheated on their significant other. Why wouldn't he tell her that?
Vinnie and Madison sat on the couch and Vinnie turned on the television. Madison climbed onto Vinnie and out her arms and legs around him. He put one of his hands on her back as he searched for something to watch.
"We didn't cover up your hickeys very well." Madison said, touching one. "You can always just add more." He joked and she laughed, putting her hand against his chest. "Yeah, your not wrong."
The front door opened and everyone filed into the house, talking loudly and laughing. Madison had fallen asleep super quickly and Vinnie looked back at them, putting his finger to his mouth, "shhh." He said, and they quieted down.
A few people sat down and Thomas asked Vinnie if they could talk. "Madi." Vinnie said, poking her back and she sat up. "Huh?" "Thomas and I are going to talk. I'll be right back." She stood up and he walked away.
She sat back down on the couch and leaned against Jack. "Alright, why don't you go to bed?" He asked. She put her arm around his arm. "Because I don't wanna stand up." He stood up and scooped her into his arms.
He took her upstairs and heard some or Vinnie's conversation. "You want to leave the house?" Thomas asked and Vinnie answered, "Yes, and I want Madison to come with me." Jack took Madison to Cameron's room and laid her down. "Thanks Jack."
