The guards lower their heads in respect after pushing the throne room door open for their Queen, the seemingly conversation going on in the room comes to halt at the presence of taehyung. The palace affairs ministers stand on their feet instantly to pay respect to the queen.

The only two people who remain on their seat is the king and the royal concubine who was occupying the Queen's seat , she has a smug look over her face as taehyung walk closer to the seat ....lowering his head slightly to greet the king who returned him a smile.

"Guards!" Taehyung yelled, shocking not only the ministers in the room but also the king who stared at the pretty male confusedly but taehyung's eyes were only fixed on the figure occupying his seat.

The guards ran inside the room falling to their knees instantly, taehyung turn to face them.

"Get her and flock her fifty strokes of canes for disrespecting the Queen of this country" series of gasps escape everyone's mouth, king Lee stare at taehyung unable to process what just left his sweet queen's mouth.

"I didn't do anything....the king asked me to sits here" the king seem to snap out of whatever trance he has fallen , he nods his head in affirmation.

"Yes my queen, I didn't want you to wake up to load of works so I asked her to step in until you're awake---

"Did you ask me before putting one of your concubine on my seat?" Taehyung's question made everyone in the room speechless for the second time in the day, everything that's leaving the Queen's mouth today is throwing them off the cliff really bad.

"You were unconscious" the king keenly stare at taehyung, trying to read what might be going on in the boy's head but for the first time , he couldn't even see any emotions on the boy's face. So he silently wondered what went wrong.

"That's the point , I was unconscious and that's when you decided to replace me with her. If you reject the punishment for her , I'll take it as ,you're planning to replace her with me my king" taehyung utters finally moving his gaze to meet the king's, he knows he's acting so repulsive but he only gets to live once and he should live it for himself and not for people who will be ready to replace him the moment he's out of the picture.

But he really badly wants to know which side his husband will be on, so he waits patiently as the king stares at him before clearing his throat but couldn't utter any words.

"I'll take your silence as yes. Guards take her away" the guards doesn't need to be told twice , they forcefully took the screaming female out of the room and thirty seconds after they left,no one dare to make a sound.

"I'll take my leave now as I can't stand sitting on the same seat as one of your concubines my king , I'll ask my servants to replace the seat once you're done with your meeting, see you later" the boy lowered his head respectfully before walking out of the room , his body was almost vibrating from anger.

King Lee drastically clears his throat as he stands up.

"Today's meeting has come to an end" he announced instantly walking after taehyung who was heading towards his room, the king didn't waste time before following behind the boy.

"You're dismissed" the king said to taehyung's maids before closing the Queen's room door on their face , taehyung decided to ignore the king's presence for the very first time in the palace.

But his actions were futile as the king forced him to turn him back before cupping his face by his palms.

"What has got you so worked up taehyung? Did I offend you in anyway?" Taehyung knows the king is seriously worried when he calls him with his name.

"Waking up after a long dream just to realize you're being replaced is really enough to work any human up my king---

"No one is replacing you" taehyung put on a fake smile at the king's declaration , oh wow but why does these words seem against the king's actions.

"My eyes are seeing things totally different from your words my king" king Lee sighs, his arms sliding down to pull taehyung impossibly close to him.

"You've got so much anger in you , is something bothering you? I mean you've punished her so I expect your anger to perish now" taehyung let those words sink into his head, then let them process and fully settle into his head and he concluded on something;

"Am I not allowed to get angry? It's in human nature to get angry and now I can't?" taehyung notices the hesitation in the king's eyes, like he's trying hard to pick his words carefully, not to anger the already angry Queen.

"Of course you're allow to but my queen is the best and anger don't look good on him" and taehyung felt like a shock wave was crashing over him , why is he noticing the dishonesty in the king's words for the very first time? Is this what they call a harsh reality check slap?.

Lump formed against his throat , maybe if he wasn't lost in the river of being a perfect Queen. Then maybe he'd have been more conscious of his surroundings and the people around it.

And for the first time , he didn't let the king's words flattered him down. He stepped back , he knows his action is still repulsive and might get him in trouble maybe not now, but taehyung just can't find a place in him to stay still in the image he had unknowingly made everyone crop him in.

"I am suddenly feeling weak , I want to take a rest now"
