Taehyung trails behind jungkook like a lost puppy as the said male lead him through the entrance of his house , earlier taehyung has entered the car on jungkook's order and the mentioned male drove them here in total silence.

"Sit here , I'll get you water" jungkook utter softly motioning towards the couch , the queen nods his head silently and took his seat. Just minutes later , jungkook walks into the living room with a glass of water.

He frown when he met the pretty male with his head low as he sniffs but quickly wipe his tears when he notices jungkook is back , the CEO sighs and just hands him the glass of water.

"T-thank you" taehyung took a deep breath , he doesn't even know maybe he was thanking jungkook for the water or for the fact that the aforementioned male has left his house in the midnight for him.

While his own husband who stays under the same roof couldn't even walk out of his room to attend to him, he feels regret rising in his chest.

First for ever meeting Lee in ho in his life , second for ever giving up on his choices for the king's. And lastly for even thinking of calling Lee in ho today in the first place.

If he didn't get it right all these while , the king's decision tonight makes him realize than before that he's nothing but a body the king seems to be obsessed with. The king's only priority is having an heir while taehyung can't give him that.

If taehyung had any bit of hope in him before , then in this minutes he felt all of them flying out of the window.

His eyes moved to jungkook who was busy switching on all his living room lights , then dragging the blinds properly. Like he's trying to make taehyung feel safe and taehyung guess he might have heard about his phobia from their friends.

He felt himself relaxing a bit , he knows sleeping is definitely out of options for him because anytime he woke up from this type of nightmare, it always took him two to three days to fall asleep again.

"Is it better or should I switch the TV on? I mean loud music can block out minds.... You might be able to fall asleep" taehyung stared at jungkook finally taking in how disarranged the CEO look , he had probably left his house in hurry after he immediately received a call from taehyung. And that bothered taehyung on some level , why'd jungkook rush to him?.

Why can't in ho react the same way as jungkook even when he was more aware about his phobia than jungkook?. And for the very first time in his life , taehyung found himself comparing the king to someone else.

And that someone just happened to be jungkook. And he can't even find himself feeling bad about it.

Hear him out. Jungkook didn't even know him from Adam when he gave him an advice , taking up a deal with him easily even when he knows it means going against the king and it'll fatally affect his company if the media finds out.

Jungkook didn't hesitate to punch the king right on his face simply because he makes a mad comment about taehyung and taehyung felt a shift in his heart , maybe relationship aren't like this. Maybe Lee in ho has been a walking red flags that taehyung never noticed.

Looking back at jungkook....

Even with his messy appearance, and a nightwear jungkook seems like he has just walked out of Vogue cover.

"Yeah thanks" taehyung answered unsure distancing his mind away from his comparison session, he shakes his head deciding on paying his attention to the current situation.

none has never really told him the trick of using loud music to block his mind out but seems like jungkook knows a lot about his phobia than him.

He watch jungkook walk to the remote and turn the TV on, switching to the music channel and walk back to sit down besides taehyung.

"You shouldn't let your pride work when you're in need of help , you could've called the king instead of jimin" jungkook speaks after some minutes and taehyung bite his lips back anxiously, he doesn't want jungkook to see how much useless he seem to the king now but he just never have it at the back of his mind to lie to jungkook.

"I--called him , he said he's busy with his child. That's why I called jimin... Well I thought but I actually called you" taehyung reply hesitantly and watch jungkook's reaction, maybe he's just noticing it now. But he seem to have always been conscious on making impression on jungkook, he stare at jungkook whose face suddenly harden at his revelation.

"No offense but your husband is an asshole" taehyung chuckle at jungkook's pissed off face , the man seem more mad than him who's the victim of the said asshole.

"I agree , I was going to call Jin hyung but I know he'd have showed up at the palace with a speaker truck behind him... Shouting to make sure no one sleeps since the queen is awake" taehyung said with a little laugh , trying to keep the conversation going but not something deep like his relationship with the king.

Jungkook laugh at that.

"I can definitely imagine him doing that , you should have called yoongi hyung" taehyung eyes widen a little at jungkook's suggestion.

"Disturbing yoongi hyung's sleep? Nah ! I'm good with my phobia, I don't want to end up in hell" jungkook laugh out loudly at taehyung terrified expression. He watch the boy shakes his head rapidly just at the thought and jungkook sighs relieved when he notices he was able to take taehyung's mind away from his nightmare.

"He's probably going to block you but show up with an axe to ask the king why he wasn't there for you, the only love language he speaks is violence and the world seems to understand that" taehyung hums agreeing with jungkook guesses , he never understood yoongi's violence coping mechanism until his recent drama with the king.

He know he was already settling for the same thing, he did beat two concubines of the king and even threatened to smash the lamp on the king's head. In some weird way , it makes him feel at ease knowing he can keep these people away with his violence. If that's the language the world understands then taehyung will be glad to use it.

I mean, he's tired and angry . And yes , somebody needs to be.

Taehyung yawn a bit resting back against the chair , jungkook seem to notices the sudden dullness as he move closer to taehyung.

"Are you asleep?" Jungkook asks carefully in a low voice , not wanting to startled taehyung out of his sleepy state.

Taehyung only nods curling himself up at one side of the couch , jungkook just sits still watching the queen fall asleep slowly. He didn't bother taking the male into his guest room , afraid he might wake the pretty male up and have the queen have a sleepless night.

So he just went to his room to get a blanket and dab it over taehyung, he lower the TV sound and his gaze fall on the clock. It's almost 4am in the morning, he only have little time before getting ready for work so he decided to work on some pending files instead.

He does that while keeping his eyes keenly on taehyung.
