Hitoshi POV

I hid in the cabinets of the kitchen of my current foster home, while I was silently crying a bruise forming on my cheek. My foster parents had found out I had just gotten into UA Class 1-C and they weren't happy about it. They believed, along with everyone else in the world, that I would use my quirk to become a villain instead of a hero but I wanted to prove them all wrong. I worked hard to get as far as I had gotten and I wasn't going to cave in or give up now even if I have to get beaten every single day. I held my breath as I heard my foster father going through cabinets screaming for me, he slung open the cabinet I was in and instantly drags me out of it. "I found him," he says angrily my foster mother comes into the kitchen also angry, "You think this is funny, freak, you think you can ever be a hero, you monster," she screams in my face holding my acceptance letter. "I'm going to UA and I'm going to become a hero," I say as I escape my foster father's grip and run upstairs, my foster parents following not far after.

I run into my room and tried to close the door but only to fall backward onto the ground as it was shoved open by my foster father. He stands over me as my foster mother stands in the doorway, "You're going to get what you deserve, villain," he says as he takes off his belt. I tried to crawl away from him but he dragged me back by my hair and starts bringing the belt down onto my back harshly. I cry out in pain as he repeatedly brings it down, there is also another reason I want to go to UA, my parents went there when they were kids. I never met them but I had a picture of them, they were wearing UA uniforms, and hopefully, I could meet my mother, she was a pro hero called Midnight. I wasn't sure about my father, there wasn't anything about him other than he was a student at UA. I curled up into a ball on the floor after my foster father walked away, my foster mother walked over to me and spat on me before leaving as well. I get up and close my door before taking off my torn and bloody shirt, I look in my bedroom mirror seeing fresh and old bruises, whip marks some bleeding some just bruising, and old scars on my back.

I leave my room with a fresh pair of clothes, go to the bathroom, cleaned my wounds, and bandage them before changing clothes. I needed to sneak out of the house so I could grab my school uniform from the school, I opened my window seeing it was clear before I dropped to the ground. I wince in pain before I began walking, I had made sure to grab the acceptance letter before I left which was a little torn and crumbled but I'm sure it was fine. The walk was a good bit of a distance but nothing too bad, I walked to the gates, classes would start tomorrow but today students were allowed to get their uniforms, find their classes, and if they had dorms move their stuff in. I, unfortunately, couldn't get a dorm, I walked to the area where everyone was getting their uniform and gave them my acceptance letter. After a minute they got me the size I needed along with my student badge before I left to explore the school. I find my classes and I decided to stall for some time so I went to look at the 1-C dorms, just in case for the future, the dorms were pretty simple but they were very nice, something I'm not used to.

I decided to explore the outside areas of the campus, I went to the training grounds, the locker room, and the closest bathroom to the training grounds as well as the locker room. I decided I stalled enough time and needed to sneak in before my foster parents notice I was gone. As I was fixing to leave I bump into a student, I wince in pain as the force made contact with an old bruise, "I'm sorry," I apologize quickly. "Watch where you're going extra," the angry voice says "Extra," I repeated confused, "Yeah, extra, you and all these other losers are just in the way of me becoming number 1," he says still angry. "Bakugou be nice," someone with a dead voice says as they walk up to us, I see it was the pro hero Eraserhead, "Don't tell me what to do old man," he yells before walking off angrily. We both watch him walk off before we look at each other, "I apologize for my student, he has a very short temper, it seems to run in his family," Eraserhead says bowing slightly still in his monotone voice. "Ah, it's okay, I'm sorry for provoking him," I apologize, he goes to speak but my phone goes off, I look at my phone and my eyes widen, my foster parents realized I wasn't there. I excused myself before quickly running off, I arrived at my house a little bit later, I climbed the side of the house putting my school stuff on my bed before climbing down.

I go to the front door and slowly enter, the house was quiet it terrified me, I closed the door behind me and slowly walked to the stairs. I began walking upstairs and reached the top when my foster mother appears in front of me, her facial expression is angry and I knew what was about to happen. She shoved me harshly backward causing me to fall backward down the stairs, I gasped in pain at the harsh impact of the floor. I hit the bottom step and I lay there, trying to recatch the breath that was knocked out of me, my foster father appeared over me. His hand gripped into a fist as he starts to bring it down onto me several times, I could feel every punch, I knew every place was a new bruise. He finally stopped and walks away without saying anything, my foster mother who stood at the top of the stairs the whole time walked away as well. I wanted to lay there all night but I knew I would be woken up by another beating, I climbed up the stairs and halfway laid on my bed, too weak to get fully onto my bed.
