Hitoshi POV
I woke up the next morning thanks to a nightmare, luckily it wasn't too bad, I looked around wincing in pain at the movement. I ignored the pain running through my body as I sit up, I shakily stand up and walked to the door, holding onto the bed for support. I quietly limp into the hallway and go to the bathroom, I rummaged through the drawers looking for some kind of blade, I sighed frustrated when I can't anything. I leave the bathroom before limping my way downstairs, I hold onto the wall as I slowly and quietly walked downstairs.
Once I get downstairs, I don't see anyone in the living room, so I quietly sat down on the couch, the urge to hurt myself was strong today. I began scratching my arm to ease the urge, it helped a little when I felt pain start going through my arm from the scratching, the movement was also making my body ache more painfully than before. I sat there staring at my lap as I continue to scratch, I flinched harshly when a hand gently grabs my hand that was scratching. I looked up seeing Aizawa, he was frowning concern, and worry written all over his face, I then notice the blood slightly dripping from my fingernails. I looked down at my arm seeing deep scratch marks, Aizawa sighs softly before walking away, and I sat there feeling guilt build up. He returns with a damp cloth and a medkit "Kid, I know you have been through some shit, I know something like this is a normal reaction to trauma but if you ever have this kind of urge again please tell me or Hizashi, we want to help you but we can't if you don't open up to us," he says as he cleans the new wound and began wrapping it. I nod softly "Okay," I say in almost a whisper, he puts away the stuff before walking into the kitchen, he returns with my pills and a glass of water, and I take them both from him with shaky hands. I take the pills and then drank the water, he takes the glass from me before returning a little bit later with some food, and he hands me the plate of food before sitting next to me with his own. We sit quietly as we ate our food while watching tv, I tried to eat most of my food but I wasn't able to eat even half of it, he takes my plate and we sat there watching the rest of the movie we were watching.
I learned that Yamada and Aizawa were taking turns about work, one day Aizawa would go to work at school and then patrol, then Yamada would do the next day. I appreciated everything they did but I was just in the way, they had to constantly take care of me because I was so weak. I glance at Aizawa who was doing paperwork on the coffee table, "A-Aizawa," I say and he looks up at me. "Yes," he asks "M-may I take a shower," I ask, and he frowns "You don't have to get permission from me, you can do whatever you want," he says and I nod softly before slowly getting up as he goes back to his work. "Do you need any help," he asks as I limp to the stairs, I flinch before looking back at him, and I shake my head "N-no thank you," I say "Don't lock the door," he says, I nod before going upstairs, I grabbed a change of clothes, which I was surprised I had. I then went to the bathroom and stripped myself of my clothes as well as bandages, I stepped into the tub and felt relief wash over me as the water ran over my wounded body.
I was almost done with the shower when my body decided to betray me, pain rush over my body and my legs gave out on me. I fell to the ground, my side hitting the side of the tub where my body was hanging over on the side of the tub, I cry in pain. I drag myself out of the tub, draping a towel over my body, I jumped when there was a knock on the bathroom door "Hitoshi, are you okay," Aizawa asks worriedly. "Y-yeah, I just fell," I say pulling the towel around myself, whimpering quietly at the movement of the new pain in my ribs growing along with my aching body. "Hitoshi, I'm going to come in there, okay," he says, "Please don't," I begged quietly "Hitoshi, you're hurt, you need help," he says and I stay quiet. He opens the door as I pulled the towel around myself more trying to hide the cuts, bruises, and scars that littered my body, he kneels in front of me "Where do you hurt," he asks "M-my ribs, I hit my side on the side of the tub," I respond. He nods before helping me stand, I gripped the towel tighter, and he helps me sit on the toilet lid before bringing my clothes to me. "Do you need help getting dressed," he asks and I shake my head "I can get it," I say and he nods before turning around, I slowly dry myself and get dressed, whimpering in pain every now and then.
"I'm dressed now," I say once I finish, he turns around before helping me stand up, I lean on him gripping my side as we walked to my room. He sits me on my bed before leaving, I hear him turn off the water in the bathroom and do some rummaging before he returns a few minutes later. He carefully pulls up my shirt to look at my side, I glance at it as well, a nasty bruise was already forming. "I think it's only bruised so that's good it's not broken," he says and I nod as he starts to wrap up my wounds, "Even though it's only bruised, I am going to wrap it just in case," he says and I nod. He wraps the bandages around my waist carefully, once he finishes he gets up and puts away the medkit as well as anything else he used. "Do you want to stay here in your room or do you want to go downstairs," he asks, I thought about it for a minute "I'll stay here for now," I respond and he nods. "Do you want me to stay here with you or do you want to be alone," he asks, "Alone please," I respond and he nods before leaving, I lay there for a bit before getting up. I go to my bookshelf and grabbed my parent's picture as well as their note, I settled at sitting at my desk while I smiled softly looking at it, rereading the letter over and over.
I was startled when there was a soft knock on the open door, I quickly turned the picture face down before looking at the door. "Was that a picture of your parents," Aizawa asks and I nod "You know if you let me see it I can probably trace their faces and find them for you," he says. I smile softly before shaking my head "This is something I need to do on my own, I'm so close to finding them, I know it," I say softly my voice filled with determination a smile on my face. I hear him catch his breath, making me take another look at him, he stared at me wide-eyed before shaking his head "Is something wrong," I ask and he shakes his head. "Everything is fine," he says before stumbling out off the roof, his facial expression was almost confused but terrified, I, on the other hand, was very confused.
I was now sitting downstairs on the couch, I waited an hour after the whole weird situation before hiding everything and going down here. Yamada should be home any minute now, as if on cue the door swings open and a very happy Yamada walks in. "Hello, y'all two," he greets happily, I wave softly while Aizawa just sighs, "Hi Zashi," Aizawa says sighing, "Anything interesting happened," Yamada asks as he sits next to Aizawa on the opposite couch. "Just a small accident but I think everything is okay now," Aizawa responds looking at me and I nod, "Oh what happened," Yamada asks looking at us both. "He fell in the shower and bruised his rib," Aizawa says and I look down sheepishly, "Geez, I guess you're a pain magnet," Yamada says chuckling softly, I smile softly. I noticed the two shared a couple of glances before getting up "Hey Toshi, there is a photo album right there on the table if you want to look at them," Yamada says referring to the book on the table, I nod as they left the room. I grabbed the book and opened it, I looked over the pictures some were of their wedding, some from when they were younger, mostly in high school. I listened quietly to them in the kitchen as I looked at the pictures "What's wrong," Yamada asks, it was quiet for a second "Hitoshi hurt himself today on purpose, this concerns me about future events," Aizawa says his voice filled with worry. "Then we'll watch over him like we did with you, but there is something else I can tell, what is it," Yamada says, it quiet for a minute. "He looks so much like him, I can't, his determination, his smile, his style, his looks, he looks exactly like him," Aizawa says as his voice trembles, there was a bit of silence "I know he does, it almost disturbing, I don't think it's possible they are related, he didn't have any living relatives," Yamada responds.
I decided to not intrude anymore on their conversation so I focus back on the photo album, they were a cute couple. You can tell they were opposite friends at first but then you can tell where they start liking each other and start dating from their high school pictures. Their wedding was cute as well, I felt my breath hitch slightly as my eyes landed on a specific picture, it was another high school picture. The picture contained Aizawa, Yamada, and my parents, I knew my mother was the famous pro hero Midnight but I had no clue who my father was, Aizawa and Yamada knew though. "Hey, that was us back in high school, Sho was so shy and awkward," Yamada says pointing at him from behind me, I jumped and looked at him, seeing them both looking over my shoulder. "Who is this, I know that is Midnight and y'all 2 but who is he," I ask pointing at my father in the picture, I watch as both of their faces drop, I felt fear wash over me as I saw the change in their attitude. "I think that's enough pictures for today," Yamada says as he takes the photo album from me, I nod slowly "I have to go to the studio so y'all behave," Yamada says as he walks towards the door. He leaves and Aizawa sits down turning on a movie as he starts doing paperwork, I don't know who my father is but apparently, he was friends with these 2 pros, and they hate talking about him. I quietly get up and go to my room, I lay there for a while letting my thoughts swarm my head before I fell asleep from exhaustion.
