"Stop stressing so much." Hannah chuckled with a snort as she and Elodie sat cross-legged on the roof of Ackrington Academy, two hours after the school day had ended.

Elodie raised an amused eyebrow, "Did you actually just tell me to calm down?"

Hannah rolled her eyes, "I'm just saying, you need to relax. You're an amazing actress. And it's not like you're best friends with the assistant director, or anything." She shrugged with a slight smirked as her phone dinged.

Elodie chuckled, "Yeah, that could really help my chances. If only, right."

"Right," Hannah hummed, raising an eyebrow down at the text she had received from Fiona, "Dang, insurance covers the pill? Yes please." She muttered, texting her sister back.

Elodie threw her best friend a smirk, "Can't forget about that, can you?"

"That's not why I need it now," Hannah rolled her eyes, "My iron's all fucked so it balances it out."

"Wait, you and Adam...? You're not-?"

"You really wanna have this conversation about your brother?"

Elodie shrugged, "I'm just curious about my best friend's love life."

"Well, we're not," Hannah shook her head, "Not since the first time when you and your parents went to that conference."

Elodie let out a loud gasp, staring at her best friend with wide eyes, "What?!"

Hannah raised an eyebrow, "You didn't know?"

"Obviously not!" Elodie cried, before realising, "Wait, is that why you got all weird for months?"

Hannah nodded with a small shrug, "He told me he loved me."

"And because of your parents, you pretended like you didn't." Elodie guessed.

Hannah nodded again, "Exactly."

"Well," Elodie smiled, grabbing her best friend's hand, "I'm glad everything ended up alright."

"Me too," Hannah agreed, "And, actually, I'm really liking how Adam and I are right now."

"Really?"

"Yeah," Hannah said with a small grin, "We're connecting more on the emotional level, rather than the physical - which is kind of all I know - so it's nice a really nice feeling."

Elodie's smile widened from listening to her best friend, squeezing the redhead's hand when the loud sound of the metal door leading to the roof clattered and opened, making the pair rush to stand up, turning to face whoever had come up to the roof and whatever punishment they would face.
