Hannah let out a soft sigh as she put her textbooks in her locker when her phone gently pinged. Reaching into her inside blazer pocket, she pulled the device out, a grin flickering across her face as she read the message she had received.

Not dead. Love you
- Ian

love you too, asshat

Elodie looked up from her lunch with a soft smile as her best friend sat across from her at the bench, "Hey. What's up?"

"Ian texted me." Hannah grinned.

"Really?" Elodie asked happily as the redhead showed her the text, "How heart-warming."

Hannah let out a small snort at the comment as she took her phone back, frowning suddenly.

"What?" Elodie wondered.

"Carl's still not texted me back."

The brunette's eyebrows shot up, "But he always texts you back."

"Yeah, well, he's pissed at Fiona and I right now."

"Okay, well, he's almost always pissed at Fiona," Elodie pointed out, making Hannah laugh, "But why's he pissed at you?"

"Because neither of us want to give Frank part of out liver."

Elodie let out a snort, "Well, that I can't blame you for."

Hannah hummed, "I get why he's wanting to help Frank, but I just wish he'd get past that stage of thinking that man's not an absolute douche."

"He'll get there," Elodie assured the girl, "Debbie did."

"Oh my God, and then there's Debbie." Hannah sighed, her head falling into her hands.

"What's happened with Debbie?"

"Other than the fact that she's becoming a raging bitch?"

"That's all."

"I'm pretty sure she's got a boyfriend."

Elodie smiled, "That's so cute. Are they gonna get, like, middle school married?"

"Pretty sure he's at least in his early twenties."

The brunette's smile dropped, "That's way less cute," She muttered, leaning over the table and closer to Hannah, "How do you know?"

"I've seen this guy dropping her off late at night and when I ask her about it, she just blanks me like a stereotypical teenage twat." Hannah rolled her eyes.
