It's Never Too Late

Chapter 4: Atlanta

💀James's POV💀
I can't sleep. Why do I even bother trying. It would probably be best to stay awake anyway with those walkers outside, they could break in at any given moment......I don't even know how Leeanne is sleeping, or even Molly. *sighs* I hope something comes up soon to help us or....Wait! The tv! Before it went off yesterday it said something about civilians and Atlanta! Maybe it's a place that has a way of ending all of this! But I don't remember much about what it said.....crap.

|Next Morning|

I'm downstairs now that it's morning just waiting for everyone to wake up. I hear someone walk down the stairs. It's Lisa. "Hi Mrs.Revan. Good morning." She looks towards me. "Oh hey James, good morning." She looks down than up at me. She comes to hug me and starts crying. "James I'm so sorry for your mom!" "It's okay." I tell her. "Why aren't Molly or Josh awake?" "Heck if I knew, how could anyone sleep through this?" *tap tap tap* "oh no" I say.

"What is it?" Lisa asks. "There's a walker at the door!" She looks over to see one kind of brushing against the door. "We have to get it away from the house!" Lisa says quietly. I think for a minute...."I got an idea. Go around back, making sure there are no other walkers there, and guide it outside. I'm going to go through the window and kill it from behind." I say. "Your going to kill it? Do you know how?" She asks. "Does it really matter right now? Just go out back, I got this."

💀Lisa's POV💀
"Got it" I say. I go through the back door and grab a shovel just in case. I see a walker in my backyard! Like for real?! It doesn't notice me so I swing at it in the head. It falls down. "I think it's...." "Ughhargh" "Oh no" I say. It's still alive?! But how?! I swing the shovel into it's chest. It's still trying to get back up. "What?!" I swing one last time to the head. It's head caves in and dies....I think....I hope. I run around to the front and whistle. "Hey stupid!" I say. It slowly turns around at me. I look to make sure I don't trip and it starts to follow me. I see James crawl out of the window and start to approach the walker.

"LOOK OUT!" He screams. A walker comes from behind me and tackles me to the ground. James grabs the other one and falls too. We are both struggling to get it off us. BANG! BANG! Two gunshots go blaring and kill the walkers on us. I look up to see a tall man with his pistol. "Hey there neighbor. You need some help?" He helps me up and I hug him. "Thank you" I say as I start crying.

💀Josh's POV💀
I wake up to two loud gunshots. I don't see Lisa next to me and I started freaking out. I run outside and see a man holding Lisa. "What's going on here?! I scream at him. "Josh don't worry he saved us!" Lisa says "Sorry if I caused any confusion here sir and ma'am. My name is Evan Bartly." Evan says
"Do you know anything about Atlanta?!" James asks loudly.

"Atlanta? I heard about that on the tv." I say.

"Atlanta is said to be a sanctuary for the public. I was heading there with my family." Everyone is outside now. " Where is your family now?" Leeanne asks. Evan looks down. " Leeanne!" I say. "Well if you all want I can take you guys with my truck around the block to Atlanta. Shouldn't be more than a days drive." Evan says. "So you all in or what?" I look around at everyone. "Yeah we're in."
