Season 1 Episode 1: The Birth of a Hero

The camera pans across a bustling city like Mobius, and we see the blue hedgehog hurrying through the streets. He jaunts in between citizens, almost causing an elderly Mobion to lose her bags. The people grumble at the child as he often gets into mischief, however, he keeps running as if gravity had no hold on him, barely grazing the ground with his small feet. A melodic piano begins to play and we hear his voiceover from beyond the screen.

Sonic: Hi, I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog the fastest thing alive. This is my story. See, I was born and raised in the Mobius City, which isn't bad, but I've always wanted to explore what's beyond it. But as much as I'd like to go out and discover new places, I have friends and family here. Well actually my family got separated when I was a baby. I never knew my parents, but I was lucky enough to be taken in by my Uncle Chuck.

We see a flashback of baby Sonic being carried by his uncle Chuck, an understanding and wise old man.

Sonic: Uncle Chuck showed me how to live life. He became like a dad to me.

We then see a flashback of Sonic's mom and dad leaving Uncle Chuck's house; his mom was crying as she left her child behind.

Sonic: I don't know where my parents are now, but I keep hoping that one day I'll find them again. Fortunately, at least I still have my friends by my side.

The scene shifts to the present, where Sonic reunites with his friends; Rotor, Sally and Antoine. They all shared a deep bond of kinship. Rotor was a skilled inventor whose creations ranged from practical to peculiar. Sally was the kingdom's princess who outshone like the sun on a dull day for them all. Antoine was timid, but had good intentions at heart.

Sonic: Sorry to keep everyone waiting!

As Sonic stepped from behind Antoine, the other boy jumped in surprise. Sonic couldn't resist teasing him a bit afterwards.

Sonic: (in a joking tone) What's up with you, Antoine? Are you sure you've got what it takes to follow in your father's footsteps and become a soldier?

Antoine's smile faded and he crossed his arms defensively.

Antoine: I can be just as brave as any of you!

That caught Sonic's interest, and he raised an eyebrow curiously at Antoine's show of courage.

Sonic: Really? You think you can keep up?

Antoine: (nodding firmly) Yes, I do. It doesn't matter if I'm scared sometimes; I still have the strength to face my fears and act bravely. Don't underestimate me, Sonic.

Sonic: (laughs) I can't help but be suspicious when you're so easily spooked.

Rotor: He does make sense though, Antoine. Perhaps your dad could help you train if that is what you want?

Antoine's expression softens as he listens to Rotor's suggestion. He considers it for a moment before nodding.

Antoine: You're right, Rotor. Maybe my dad can help me become stronger and braver. I'll talk to him about it when I get the chance.

Sally steps forward, placing a hand on Antoine's shoulder.

Sally: Antoine, we believe in you. We know you have the potential to be brave and courageous. Don't let Sonic's teasing get to you. You have the strength inside you to overcome any challenge.

Suddenly, they hear a loud explosion coming from the nearby castle.

Sally: What was that?

Sonic: Let's check it out!

They rush to the castle and find the royal scientist, Dr. Julian Robotnik, studying some strange gems.

Sonic: Hey, What are you doing?

Julian: well if it isn't the young Hedgehog. How delightful I've heard of you from King Acorn. I am Dr. Robotnik, the world's foremost expert on robotics and chaos energy.

Sonic: Chaos energy?

Julian: Yes, these gems are called the Chaos Emeralds. They hold immense power, beyond your wildest dreams. I am studying them to unlock their secrets.

Sally: Be careful, Sonic. This guy gives me the creeps.

Sonic: Don't worry, Sally. I can handle him, are you sure those things are the chaos emeralds I always heard those things were a myth from my uncle.

Julian: well I can assure you they are very real, say I heard you can run extremely fast Hedgehog do you mind doing a few tests for me?

Sally holds tight to sonics arm

Sonic: it's ok sall it will only be for a minute, alright dr. I'm in.

Sally: ok sonic I trust you, I need to go, for now, talk to you later?

sonic: you bet!

Sonic is standing in front of a treadmill, looking skeptical.

Sonic: I don't know about this, Robotnik. I'm not a lab rat.

Julian: Nonsense, Sonic. I just want to measure your top speed. It's for scientific purposes.

Sonic: (rolling his eyes) Fine, let's get this over with.

Sonic steps on the treadmill, and Robotnik activates it. Sonic starts running, and the machine starts beeping faster and faster.

Julian: Amazing! You're breaking all kinds of records in mere minutes!

Sonic: (grinning) Yeah, I've been practicing.

Julian: (nodding) I can see that. You truly are the fastest creature alive. But I wonder, what would happen if we were to combine your speed with the power of the Chaos Emeralds?

Sonic glances at all six of the chaos emeralds that the doctor has collected so far.

Sonic: What do you mean?

Julian: Just imagine the possibilities. With the right machinery and the right amount of chaos energy, we could create a machine that could surpass the speed of light!

Sonic: No way doctor that sounds dangerous. I've heard stories about how those things have destroyed entire ancient civilizations because of people trying to abuse their power, and I don't want any part of that.

Julian: Suit yourself, Sonic. but the offer still stands.

The scene fades to black, and we hear ominous music.

Sonic (voiceover): I had no idea what was coming. That meeting with Robotnik would change my life forever.
