She reached her apartment building, slowly walking to her floor, she heard what sounded like footsteps, sudden panic rose over her as she began hastily taking out her keys and opening her apartment, the footsteps got near everytime and suddenly she looked to the hallway corner to see her neighbor walking with groceries in his hands, she sighed gaining the attention of the man too.
He stopped and asked her what was wrong, feeling that he was her neighbor she told him what was happening around her apartment rather than telling about her workplace incidents, he asked her to not be scared and that she can call him anytime she felt scared or something happens.
Her neighbor was a good person, atleast he seemed like a good person to her since he would help her carry things sometimes, he would always wish her cheerfully and apologized frequently for smallest mistakes, y/n sighed entering her room and dropping on her bed, she checked her phone and soon slept.
The next morning she woke up, got dressed and went to her workplace as usual, her neighbor greeted her as he too left for his work early, reaching her workplace she noticed everyone was in a hurry and there were alot of talking, walking in she asked someone what was happening and he then explained to her how the boss of her department went missing last night after party, he was drunk and driving but he hasn't been found yet, feeling bad for her boss but also glad that she didn't get into his car she began working regardless.
But she wondered again how would he go missing all of a sudden, walking to the cafeteria she saw police and others looking at security footage they collected from several roads that lead to his mansion, those footages showed his car going to a certain route before the footage glitched, the cops informed everyone to keep eyes and ears open and help the cops find the boss.
She sat in the cafeteria with some coffee next to her co-worker who was drinking some beverage too, another co-worker joined them as he began talking, the talk initiated itself to the boss again, the guy said maybe he was killed, what if kidnapped for money, or maybe he was too drunk and crashed somewhere far. The talk ended as all of them got up to work again, boss or not they had to work.
