The days were going empty with not enough motivation or focus, she felt herself too much depressed to think of anything, she couldn't say anyone was suspicious, she couldn't process their deaths, it was too much at one time.
She got out of the cab she took to reach her apartment building, she stood on the side walk thinking if she should eat home or outside, feeling tired she decided outside, walking to a nearby food place she stopped when she heard a sound behind her, turning around she saw no one the roads were dark and empty, a few people walking to somewhere not wanting to face any trouble at this time of the day, she began walking but she kept hearing the sounds.
Upon reaching the food place she ordered herself food as she enjoyed it alone feeling at peace as she ate the warm meal, after done with her food she began walking home, the sounds followed her, feeling anxiety and paranoia build up she began walking fast, footsteps began following her, not wanting stop and turn around to face whoever it was, she began walking even more faster as she starting panicking when she heard the footsteps behind her become faster as hers.
She didn't realise when her walking fast turned into a run for her life, the footsteps behind her ran aswell, her heart felt as if it'll jump out of her rib cage, whoever was behind her was gonna kill her, that were her thoughts, running as fast as she could she turned various corners, seeing her apartment building she felt hesitant, whoever was behind her shouldn't know of her place right? but she couldn't run alone in the streets for long before she looses her energy and stops.
Taking the risk she entered her apartment building, closing doors to slower the person behind her, she entered the elevator immediately closing it and pressing her floor number, she knew the person behind her wouldn't reach her floor since they wouldn't know it, she calmed herself down in the elevator as she felt herself panicking too much for her limits, walking outside the elevator she began looking for her keys in her bag until she found them but she stopped as she heard loud footsteps running up in the stairs, louder and louder, she immediately began opening her door..
