Chapter Eighteen

****Jassi's Point of View****
I woke up to a tiny hand touching my face.. Then I felt him shake me.
"Please wake up, please don't die. I won't wanna be alone anymore." Kaden said crying.
"I don't break my promises."I said slowly. I looked up and I saw his bright grey eyes starring at me with love as I pulled him into a hug.
"I thought you were dead." he said sniffling.
"I told you I would never leave you and I won't." I told him as I wiped the tears from his red rimmed grey eyes.
We just sat there in the silence for what seemed like hours when his tummy growled. As if on cue someone came in and brought us some sandwiches and some milk. The boy had light blonde hair with sparkling golden brown eyes. He looked about seventeen years old. He was adorable, I looked at him cautiously as he came closer. I growled, he held up his hands to show he meant no harm.
"Um thanks" I said to the boy as he sat our food down. I turned Kaden around and sat him in my lap so he fit snugly in my crossed legs.
"You're welcome and I'm sorry you're in here. My name is Christian. I'm doing the best I can to get you out. I drugged you but I gave you a smaller dosage so you're wolf could recover faster. I have an escape plan so I hope you've called for help." and with that he left us.
"You're gonna take me with you..right?" Kaden said in between bites of food.
"Well of course I am silly!" I said while I ruffled his hair. I gave him my sandwich because he needed it more than me. I just drank my milk.
"Will you be my new mommy?" he asked quietly.
I thought about this for a second, I have only known him for three weeks but I've grown attached to him. I already think of him as my son, but I'm not sure how Vinc will feel, who cares how he feels. I love Kaden and I will protect him from anything. He's mine. A small voice brought me out of my thoughts.
"if you don't want to be my mommy that's fine." he whispered.
"No, I do want to be your mommy and I will always protect you from anything. No one will hurt you while I'm around." I told him hugging him tightly.
"Aww, what a touching moment!" The older looking Kaden said. He took fast strides to our cage. He looked down at Kaden and growled. I didn't like that so I growled back at him. He looked at me shocked. I barred my teeth to show him I wasn't playing. Kaden whimpered at the man and I tightened my grip on him. The man began to open the cage when Christian burst in the room.
"Alpha Greg, there are wolves approaching the border there are about a thousand or so of them, possibly more!!" Christian stated. My heart fluttered and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. With that Greg growled and then walked past Christian.
Once Christian was sure Greg was gone he ran to our cage and opened the door, he rushed inside and unchained is. I picked Kaden up, Christian held out his had to me and I took it. He lead us out of the room and we began running down a long corridor, we turned left, then right and took another two lefts and we burst through a door. The brightness of the sun made me gasp and squint. I lost my footing and I fell. I twisted my body so I wouldn't land on Kaden. I felt someone trying to take him from me and I tightened my grip and let out a ferocious growl. I snapped my eyes open and saw it was Alpha Greg.
He looked down on me and he just started kicking me. I pulled down on Kaden, once I had him, I rolled on top of him to shield him from the kicks. Somehow one kick caught him and he screamed out in pain. That pissed Aless off she let out a wicked growl, the type of growl that told you, you were gonna die, and without warning she took control. She knocked down Alpha Greg and started biting his face. He was still in human form and since Aless was holding down his arms no legs he couldn't shift. She stopped biting and stepped off him. His breathing had slowed. She looked around for Kaden and saw a wolf advancing on him. She ran full speed and collided with the wolf before he reached Kaden.
Aless was slowly losing her hold on me because she had used all her energy to take the blows Greg had given us earlier. She let out a low howl and did the only thing she could think of. She called out for Alex and Jimmy. As I felt the control being given back to me. I grabbed Kaden and rushed into the woods. I covered myself with a tarp that I found that was used to cover the cars. I wrapped myself in the tarp and pulled the crying Kaden towards me.
I felt myself drifting but Kaden was saying something. I looked up and saw another wolf approaching us. I pulled Kaden behind me and I growled at the wolf. I didn't have the energy to stand. The wolf was getting closer and closer. I felt Kaden shaking violently and I knew this was the end of me. Before I fell into the darkness I saw a beautiful midnight wolf, standing next to a sandy brown wolf. I looked at Vinc and our eyes locked, light blue to light green. My saviours, my boys, my everything. With that I drifted off into the darkness.
****Vincent Point of View****
Jimmy and I lead the pack to the place Aless had given Jimmy. I was mad that she didn't tell me, I'm their mate not Jimmy. But that was overruled but the happiness, we had a location and we were going to get my mate back. It took us a while to get there, but we did. I killed everything in my path. I heard a wild growl and my heart fluttered it was Jassi's. With that I pushed myself to go faster so I could I had to get to her. Alex howled in agreement.
I let him take control and once the building came into view the wolves came out and immediately started attacking. I mowed down everyone that came in my way. I saw Jimmy doing the same. I heard a growl coming from near the building and I turned and ran towards it. I saw a sand colored wolf fighting a big brown wolf. He wasn't from my pack but he was fighting the enemy so I helped him. He looked at me sniffed the air and whimpered. He shifted and told me he knew Jassi's and that he helped her escape. Jimmy came over and I told him what I've just be told by Christian.
Christian then told me Jassi ran into the woods with a small boy named Kaden, he also said he saw Alpha Greg and another wolf run into the woods after then. That was all we needed to hear, Jimmy and I flew into the woods and the sight in from of us scared us shitless. I knew Jimmy felt the same way because he howled out in anger. There covered by a tarp was Jassi in all her glory, she still looked beautiful. Her hair was matted with sticks and blood. Her hand clutching the tarp and something else. I looked around her and saw the small boy with fear in his eyes.
The wolf standing in front of them snapped his head around once he heard Jimmy growl at him. He turned and stood in front of Jassi and the boy. Alex wanted blood and so did I. I looked at Jimmy and his eyes were on fire. I swear I saw flames and steam rolling off him. Before I could think about charging Greg Jimmy was already over there. Greg was on the ground and Jimmy was on top of him. Greg threw Jimmy off but he landed on his feet and without hesitation he charged again at Greg. Greg flew back into a tree, Jimmy stopped and looked at me.
**You just gonna stand there with your mouth open or are you going to join me in kicking his ass? We have to hurry and get Jassi to a pack doctor Aless said she wasn't sure how much longer Jassi could hold on. Now move it!** he snapped at me.
