My phone rings for the umpteenth time and an exhausted sigh leaves me.

Raymon doesn't seem to have gotten my message because he has been calling me on various numbers for the last two days.

With a roll my eyes, I decline the unknown number for the second time since morning while putting together the last of Maleek's things into his bag.

To say Raymon is dedicated and eager to class me would be an understatement as that man has gone as far as to use his woman phone to call me.

A calling of my name captures my attention, pulling me away from the packed bag and to the slightly open window.

Jesus mon!

Another round of calling comes and my eyes wander around the backyard I search of the source of the call.

Milly—my neighbour, forces her head and a stretched arm over her fence, eyed squinting before she pulls back and her hand and speaks into her cell.

"Azzy!" She calls and I trek over to my door.

"Yeah!," I answer not wanting to get a step close to the fence.

The closer I get the longer the conversation between us will last and I have to get to work soon. The sun is already making its sweet way up in the sky drying up the mildew from last night.

"Mi get a call fi yuh" She shouts and I hiss low under my breath and start the long walk over to the fence.

Pressing her body to the fence, she extends her hand, gifting me her phone, forcing me to turn slightly away from her.

"Azzy" Raymon's voice comes through the phone and I stretch back the phone to Milly. She refuses to take it and I am tempted to throw it over the fence.

"Azzy!" He shouts and I let go of a huff.

"Weh yuh waah Raymon?" I ask with attitude while rolling my eyes. Even hearing his voice gets me upset.

"Waah gwaan with my mada when she come ova deh Friday fi the baby?" He asks and I loudly hiss.

"Raymon weh this fah?" I ask irritated.

"Waah gwaan?" He presses and I straightened my posture, ready to take the blow of whatever filthy word will roll off his tongue.

Exactly, whatever lie she tell yuh" I voice and I hear the hissing of his teeth.

"Mi nuh know a which man, have yuh a think yuh high and mighty but me aguh mek yuh know this. Yuh a nuh body. A who yuh think yuh be fi bun up me mada with hot water and a come gwaan like Weh gwaan a nothing" He shouts and I push the phone towards a distant yet eavesdropping Milly.

She shakes her head and I motion to throw it at her.

"This a the last time me a tell yuh this Azriel. Mi waah mi pickney dung a me mada by 9 and when yuh guh dung deh mi waah yuh have an apology nice and ready fi har or Trust mi yuh nah guh like it." He threatens and I hiss before throwing the phone to Milly.
