I could see the lights of the town through the trees. I stopped at the treeline, and glanced at the Flareon on my back. He was still breathing, but wasn't getting any better. I turned back to the town. There were a few pokemon walking around, but not many. I'd say it was very early morning by now. I walked out of the woods and onto a path, and began searching for a healer or something like that. 'Seems like an alright town, hopefully this Flareon can get help here...' A couple of the pokemon gave me some strange looks, but I didn't pay any attention to them. I couldn't see any buildings that I could recognize as belonging to a healer, and started to get worried. 'What if there isn't a healer here? Oh no.... Wait, maybe I could ask someone!' I glanced around, and spotted an Arcanine just down the path. I approached him, and nervously asked. "Um, sir? Is there a healer around here...?" He turned to face me, and for just a second, flinched. "O-oh, uh, yeah! Just go on down that way, there'll be a building that looks kinda like a house, that's it." He raised his paw and pointed ahead. "Oh, thank you sir." He looked back at me. "No problem..." I turned and walked down the path towards the house. 'That was a little weird... eh, probably nothing.' I walked up to the door, and knocked. A Wigglytuff opened the door. It stared at me for a second, then spoke. "Come in, the Flareon seems severely wounded." it turned and walked further into the house. I followed, making sure to close the door behind me. "I'll take him, you wait here." The Wigglytuff picked that Flareon up off of my back. "Ok..." It walked away into another room, and closed the door. I layed down on the floor, and waited.

It felt like forever, but It was probably around 8 hours. I could see light coming through the windows from outside now. I heard a door open, and turned to look. The Wigglytuff stood in the doorway. "He's awake. He should be good to go, but he needs to take it easy." "Can I see him?" The Wigglytuff stared at me for a second. "Yes, he's in here." It walked away. I stood up, and walked into the room. The Flareon was lying there on a bed next to the wall. It turned it's head to look at me, and I noticed it's eyes widen slightly. I tilted my head slightly "Are you feeling alright?" "I- uh- y-yeah... I'm feeling a lot better..." He paused for a second, before asking a question. "Uh... what are you...?" A confused look spread across my face. "Uh... I'm a Jolteon? The electric type eeveelution?" "Wait, what? There's an electric type eeveelution? Since when?" 'What? Does this guy have amnesia or something?' "Since always? Is this not normal? I evolved from an Eevee using a thunder stone..." I trailed off on that last sentence. That was not an experience I remember fondly. I looked back at the Flareon. He stared at me. "A... thunder stone...? No one's seen those for decades..." I stared at him. "Decades...?" "Yeah... they just kinda... faded out of existence..." I was silent. 'That long...? How is that even possible? How-' "Uh... hey- ..." The Flareon was looking at my right eye. "How- ... what's going on with your eye...?" I shot him a light glare. "Nothing. It's fine. Don't worry about it." He flinched. "O-okay..." I looked at him. "I-i'm sorry... Hey, what's your name...?" The Flareon was silent for a second. "Carbon... what about you...?" His dark jade eyes stared back at me. "...Lipo."
