We ran through the woods until we eventually found a small cave. Carbon noticed it first. "Hey Lipo, do you see that?" "Huh? Hold on, is that a cave?" 'That's a bit unexpected, a cave out here... unexpected, but convenient.' Columbia spoke up. "I think that cave could make a good shelter for now..." Carbon ran inside. "Carbon wait-... alright, let's go..." We walked inside. It was a small cave, there didn't seem to be anything living there. Carbon had already fallen asleep, and Columbia was getting ready to sleep off in the corner. I walked over to one of the walls, where I'd sleep. Just as I laid down, however, I spotted an old small torn piece of paper up against the wall. I picked it up and examined it. There was some old writing on it. 'Three will gather five more to overcome forces yet to be seen... what in the world does that mean...?' I tucked the paper into my bag and fell asleep.
I slowly began to wake up. As I woke up, I could hear someone moving around. 'Are the others already awake?' I looked up towards the cave entrance, and saw Columbia sitting there. I looked around the cave and noticed that Carbon was still asleep. 'Of course he's the one still asleep... eh, it'll be fine. He probably needs it.' I stood up and walked over to Columbia. "You're up early." She jumped and turned to face me. "... Are you okay?" 'I wonder if she's shaken up about last night. I wouldn't blame her. Something like that can scare a mon pretty badly.' "Y-yeah... you scared me for a second, I thought someone had snuck up on me... thank Arceus it was just you..." "Oh, okay. Also, why were you just sitting there by the cave entrance?" "Oh, well, I was just looking at the snow-" She turns back to the entrance. "-It's so pretty..." I walked to the entrance and sat next to her. The sun had come out, and the snow was glistening in the light. 'I will admit, it does look nice...' Suddenly, I heard some noises coming from inside the cave. I quickly turned to look and saw Carbon finally waking up. "Ugh.... Is it morning yet...?" "Mhm. About time you woke up, sleepyhead." "Haha... I guess I did sleep in a bit..." "Just a bit."
Carbon walked over to us. "So, what's the plan, Lipo?" 'Hmm... I still need to come up with one... Oh, right! That strange paper!' "I'm not quite sure yet... I did find this weird piece of paper." I pulled the paper out of my bag and showed it to them. Columbia seemed to be incredibly interested in it. "It's a prophecy! I read about them all the time! Maybe it's real..." 'A prophecy... I remember reading about something like that in one of the books in my room...' Carbon spoke up. "A prophecy? Those aren't real, they're just plot devices! That's probably just a random torn book page." 'Maybe we should...? It does give me a bit of an idea, and seeing how those Glaceon reacted back there, we might need some more mons for any more... trouble, that may occur...' "I'll trust it." Carbon's head instantly shot in my direction. "You do what now? That's not real!" Columbia spoke again, clearly in full belief that it was real. "No, prophecies are real! Our own kingdom was a part of one long ago!" That caught my attention. "Wait, really?" "Yeah! I don't remember the details since I was a young Eevee when I was told the story, but I remember that it was real!" 'Wow. That was very helpful.' Carbon still wasn't buying it. "I still don't believe y-" I cut him off. "Please, can we not fight about this? It might not be very solid, but it's the closest thing we have to a plan that we have. Sure, it might not be real, but it doesn't hurt to at least try..." 'I don't like that I had to lie there. It actually could hurt, judging by how those Glaceon just broke into Columbia's house to look for me. So, if this goes wrong, one of us could actually get hurt... possibly even worse.' "Alright, fine... though, where would the rest of the prophecy be? We only have that one page corner." 'Yeah... he's right. Wait, what if...' "Hey, let me see that corner for a second."
Columbia handed me the paper, and I began to examine it closer. There was a page number, 85. 'That's not helpful... but if it's a page, then maybe....' I turned the page around and noticed some upside-down writing. I turned the paper and read. "...One will be found in... ne.. water.... psychic..." Columbia perked up. "Maybe the Espeon kingdom? They're one of the kingdoms that border ours." 'Actually, that makes sense.' "Yeah, probably. Do you know how to get there?" "Yep! Follow me!"
