Waking Up to Soft Words and Cuddles

Alex POV- Fluff

I wake up, cuddled deeply into the blankets wrapped around me and my lover. Did I mention that he was lying there with me? Wilbur's arms were wrapped around my waist, his face gently pressed into my chest. I smiled to myself.

I moved my hand to play with his hair. My fingers ran through his astonishingly soft and curly hair. I wrapped my arm further around his sleeping body, carefully pulling him ever closer to me.

Wilbur let out a small groan, rubbing his face further into my chest, pulling me closer to him as he started to wake up. I let out a small giggle at his sleepiness.

"Good morning, my love" I wispered.

"G'mornin'," he mumbled back.

I smiled and kissed the top of his head. The room was beginning to light up with the rays of the sun. It's brightness bouncing off the walls, creating an almost ethereal look to our bed room. I look back down to the tired boy cuddled into me, kissing the top of his head. 

Gently turning over, I grab my phone to check the time. 8:45 am, July 7th, it read. I set it back down, rewrapping my arm around my lover.

"Wilby? It's 8:45. It's time to get up," I wisper to him in a calm tone.

"Noooooooo....."

He lifts his head, giving me a pouty expression. I lean down to give him a quick kiss. We gently press our foreheads together, both of us closing our eyes. We both just lay there for a second, embracing each other as sunlight casts a faint glow over the two of us.

"You're really pretty in the morning, y'know that?" He compliments.

"Is that so?" My eyes flutter open, seeing his looking right back at me.

"Mhm" he smiles, giving me another little kiss before pulling away to cuddle himself back into my chest.

I return to playing with his hair. He lets out a sigh of content, holding me close to him.

"I love it when you're all cuddly like this. Its so calming."

In response, Wilbur just gives me a little squeeze. Relaxing back into the position he was in before.

"We can stay here for a little bit longer. How's that sound, love?" I ask, pulling back a bit to look at my beautiful boyfriend.

I feel him smile against my chest. Him replying with a small "Mhm", nodding a bit. I let out a small chuckle. My eyes closed in this moment of serenity, my breathing becoming deeper and more sleep like. If he doesn't fall back asleep, I'm going to end up sleeping, I though to myself, a smile never leaving my face.

I hope this moment never ends.
