"Richie Kirsch was an infamous Ghostface killer in Woodsboro a couple of years ago following the saga of the previous killers, and his father and sister followed in his footsteps."

Ethan couldn't feel himself. Well, he could, he felt his skin and the rough material of the jacket he wore. He feels the cold air fanning around his face, making his skin red and irritated. He could feel himself, but he wasn't really there per se. He could feel, he could see, but he didn't feel real.

"Then Detective Wayne Bailey's wife was found brutally murdered."

He could still feel blood dripping down his hands, down his throat in thick pulses. He can feel himself choking, but he doesn't react. Not like he could, he wasn't really in his body. He feels numb. So many emotions, but yet they are so distant.

"Then Quinn Bailey's ex-boyfriend was found murdered in an alleyway."

It all feels so blissful; it feels good, yet it doesn't. He feels sick and he hates his entire existence, but there are those blissful moments of killing those he deems deserving of it. He enjoyed it, killing others who had to pay for their sins. Yet, there were those who did not deserve it.

"But where is Ethan Bailey?"

Ethan felt like his insides were trying to crawl out of him. Anika didn't deserve it. He was sick of the simple thought of her, why had she tried to defend Mindy? But he knows he was conscious during the whole thing, remembers sliding the knife into her skin and twisting before sliding the blade upwards. He remembers playing with her, jolting the ladder, and giving her a traumatic end.

"Media is pointing the blame on Sam Carpenter, who is believed to have been the one to orchestrate the Woodsboro murder spree."

He feels sick but at the same moment... The thrill of his first kill, and of seeing Mindy's pain. Had either of them deserved it in the end? No, but Mindy had to have helped Sam, that's what he told himself. Mindy deserved it, that's why Anika had to pay. But Mindy didn't deserve it.

"Gale Weathers has no comment on the matter, but it seems to be clear."

Maybe Ethan was the one who deserves to suffer. Maybe his father, his brother, his sister... Maybe they too deserved the ending they got. There is no doubt in his mind his mother got what she deserved, that it was poetic justice for someone dressed in a mask and robe he once wore to kill her. But if his mother, a vampire in the capitalistic world, deserved it then what did it say about the rest of them? Maybe his father was a bad person, and maybe so were Richie and Quinn. Ethan knows he's sick, knows he's broken, but did he deserve his own ending?

"Samantha Carpenter is committing these acts against certain individuals related to the Bailey family for her own story."

At a brief look, just on the outside, Ethan knows he deserves the same ending as the rest of his family. He was a psychopath raised in a dysfunctional family who enjoyed the sick desire of blood and death. Maybe... Maybe even from every standpoint he deserves it. He does not regret anything but Anika. That's what makes it worse, he supposes.
