About two hours after dawn, Venom was the first to speak.

"Hey so, when we get to Devrims post…he might react a certain way that might be a bit…off putting?" He chirped while they walked through the forest.

"What does that mean?" Scorpion replied with concern.

"Well, you see there's this person that he has been looking for for a long time, since before I met him actually." The Ghost made a soft little chirping noise before continuing, "He said that it was important, but that's all he could say." Venom looked at Scorpion.

"So you're thinking that I might be that person?" Scorpion responded in confusion.

"Well, I don't know. It's always possible…" Venom responded. Scorpion could tell that he wasn't telling her everything, but she decided to leave it. A loud snarling noise immediately snatched the duo's attention, Scorpion swiftly broke off the path they were taking to follow it. Venom instinctively faded away into Scorpions helmet to keep safe. The snarling led Scorpion to a tragic sight, a pack of 6 wolves all cornering a smaller, injured wolf. The poor thing was whimpering and snarling at its attackers.

"You're going to save that wolf, aren't you?" Venom's voice filled Scorpion's mind. She didn't answer, she simply raised her rifle and let loose two rounds. The silence of the forest was shattered, and two of the wolves were felled. The remaining four snapped their heads towards her, barking and snarling.

They all lunged at once. Scorpion quickly learned that old armor that hasn't been taken care of is not strong enough to handle the snapping jaws of a healthy and angry wolf. When one wolf clamped down on her arm, the teeth immediately dug into her forearm. Scorpion let out a yell as she lifted her other arm with her rifle in hand and fired off another shot at a second wolf. Inertia carried the dead wolf's body into her legs, sending her onto the ground. The first wolf still had its jaws around her forearm, the pain was unbearable, but she gritted her teeth and sent a hard kick into the wolf's stomach. The wolf released her arm and it was sent back a small distance, she quickly lifted her rifle and shot the wolf twice. The final two wolves backed away from Scorpion when she snapped her rifle to point the barrel at them. She was in pain and angry, the look sent a noticeable chill down the wolves spines and they fled with a soft whine.

Scorpion felt the pain in her arm subside as Venom healed her. She walked over to the cowering wolf, it was bleeding from its back right leg. The poor thing was whimpering and whining in fear as Scorpion approached.

"Shhh, it's okay little one. I want to help." She said quietly as she slowly reached into her pouch that she had crafted out of the rabbits pelt. She pulled out a few pieces of rabbit jerky and slowly started to pass one to the wolf. She stopped her hand when the wolf started to growl.

"It's okay…eat." She spoke softly again, her voice dripping with compassion. The wolf calmed its breathing and its eyes softened, it slowly reached its snout forward and gently took the piece of jerky. Scorpion smiled as the wolf chewed happily, she offered another and the wolf took it without protest. Before she knew it, Scorpion had given almost her entire ration supply to her new friend. After the wolf had finished its treats, it sat up and licked the wound on its leg. The Lightbearer watched the wolf with a smile, "Is it okay if I fix your leg?" She spoke softly again, catching the wolf's attention. It looked up at her, before laying down onto its front elbows almost like a trained dog. Scorpion slowly brought her cloak around to the front of her body, she tore off a long piece and slowly moved her hands to bandage the wolf's leg.

The wolf remained calm and as still as to be expected for a scared and wild wolf. When Scorpion tried to tighten the bandage, the wolf snapped at her and caught her hand in its mouth. The wolf's teeth barely broke the skin, and she could tell that the wolf was not trying to hurt her. She sucked her teeth, but kept herself from jerking away.

"I'm sorry…I didn't mean to hurt you." Scorpion said quietly as she raised her free hand to slowly stroke the wolf's nose. It let her go gently and licked her hand, as if to say it was sorry. "I know." She whispered through a smile, she decided that it was tight enough and she stood up.

"Can you stand?" Scorpion said to the wolf as she pulled out another piece of jerky. The wolf's eyes lit up and struggled for a moment, but managed to stand up to take the jerky. The Guardian smiled again before turning to continue her journey, she quickly noticed that the wolf was following her. She smiled again as she watched the wolf pant with happiness as it hobbled beside her.

The three of them walked through the wilderness heading towards a man named Devrim Kay.
