It was dark and beginning to snow when Scorpion could just barely see hints of a building through the trees. Her wolf friend still following close, she turned to Venom, "Is that it?" She asked as he floated close to her head.

"Yeah, that's it…Wait!" The Ghost suddenly sounded hushed, his eye flickered and a loud symphony of chirps and whirrs emmitnated from him. "I'm detecting dozens of Fallen ahead. Devrim is under attack!" The Ghost sounded worried before fading into Scorpions helmet, already knowing what her next action was going to be. She took off towards the stone chapel, her wolf friend following close behind. When she crossed the threshold of the forest, she spotted at least 10 Fallen holding electrified spears. They unleashed a battle screech as they ran into the chapel. Scorpion could hear loud rifle fire coming from inside. She ran forward, taking shots at Fallen as she ran. She was surprised at her inhuman accuracy, she hasn't been able to really test her empowered body and senses and it felt good.

When she entered the chapel, she looked up to see muzzle flashes on the top floor of the makeshift scaffold of planks and stacked stone. She heard a loud screech behind her, she whipped around just in time to block a spear with her rifle. The Fallen soldier screeched in her face, Scorpion looked down to see the wolf biting into the Fallens leg and thrashing. The Guardian thrust her gun forward to give her enough breathing room to fire a shot into the Fallen's face. When the Fallens head exploded, a strange blue gas hissed out of it. Scorpion suddenly felt a wild pain in her right thigh as a different Fallen slashed it with its spear, she yelled out and was brought down to one knee. She felt a hand shove her down to the ground with great force, the wolf barked and snarled. Scorpion looked at the wolf while she was laying on her stomach, forced down by the Fallen Soldier. She watched in horror as two other Fallen creatures ran at the wolf, both stabbing their spears into the loyal beast.

"No!" Scorpion shouted as the beast whined loudly, before falling still. The next sensation she felt was a Fallen spear stabbing into her back, straight through her lung. The last sound she heard before falling into the darkness was loud gunfire ringing through her ears as blood began to fill her lungs.

She woke suddenly and took a long gasp of air before sitting up quickly.

"Woah, easy now. You're alright." A soothing voice caught her attention. She looked over to see a grizzled man with gray hair and a gentle beard.

"You Devrim?" She asked quickly.

"At your service." He stated as he offered his hand to help her up. She took it, looking over at the corpse of her friend as she rose to her feet. "I'm sorry about your wolf friend, he was a loyal beast, defending his master until the end." He patted her shoulder.

"I wasn't his master, I saved him from another pack that was gonna kill him." Scorpions eyes were fixed on the corpse.

"Ahh, then it was respect. Gratitude." Devrim responded. His voice was calming and truly a pleasure to listen to, it put her at ease. It was at that moment that Venom faded into existence in between the two.

"Devrim! Are you alright?" Venom asked nervously, hoping he wasn't hurt.

"Ha! Yes, I'm fine. I see that you finally found your Guardian!" Devrim responded while glancing at Scorpion.

"Oh yeah, I did…and you should really see something." Venom turned around to face his Guardian. "Take off your helmet." His voice suddenly sounded serious. Scorpion looked for a moment before remembering what Venom had told her in the woods. She pressed the release trigger on the underside of her jaw and a hiss emitted from it. She lifted the helmet off her head and she heard Devrim make a soft gasp as her black hair fell back into place.

"Well I'll be damned." Devrim spoke quietly, "You finally showed yourself." He trailed off as Scorpion looked at him puzzled.

"What are you talking about?" Scorpion sounded irritated, but she was anxious to finally get some answers.

"Come with me." Devrim replied coldly.
