// chapter v //

I was immediately greeted by Jake the moment he laid eyes on me

"Jordan! Hey I'm sorry about last night"

"What are you sorry for?"

"I left you back there, I should have stick around with you"

"Don't sweat it dude, I was enjoying all by myself – lie – and somebody kept me company anyways – not a total lie"

"OH really? Do I know this somebody?"

"Uh, I don't know man"

I shrugged. I am not particularly sure if he knows screenplay girl. Why did I brought her up anyways? I could have told him I was enjoying the party all by myself period. I'm so stupid. Now Jake would probably be asking me loads of question about this certain somebody

"Is this somebody in our year level?"

"Um yeah, I have classes with her"

"A HER ehh?"

He gave me a sly grin. Uh stupid answer Jordan

"Um, hey I still have screenplay today, so yeah, gotta go"

"Okay you passed this time but don't expect me to keep quiet in lunch"

We separated in different directions. Jake can sometimes be a girl, always asking about my personal life and sometimes interfering, other than that I am happy that I have him, although I will never admit that.

I head to my screenplay class, only did it occur to me that I'll meet HER. I made my way to the back of the class and saw she was already on the seat next to me. She was... sleeping? She had her arms crossed on top of her table and she laid her head there. She had her face facing me, but her hair was all over the place that I couldn't decipher her face. She looked so peaceful. The class was still in total chaos, noises here and there, students disperse into groups gossiping about the latest topic, some making out and others on their seats quietly sleeping like HER.

I looked back at her. She was breathing steadily. She wore another of her knitted sweater in the color of mint, she paired it with her faded jeans. I also noticed we were wearing the same black converse.

The class immediately fell silent. I looked up and saw that Mr. Smith have arrived. He was still preparing his stuffs, like his laptop and books.

I kicked the girl slightly on her feet and she jolted awake. Wow, she has fast reflexes. She had on a confused look on her face, but when she spotted me she break into a wide smile. She mouthed 'hi' but I ignored it and stared straight ahead. But from my peripheral vision she was still smiling widely.

Mr. Smith immediately gone through with our lesson. He was still briefing us about our script and asking if we have started, haft of the class responded with a yes which earned us a smile from the teacher himself. He gave us the remaining of the time to work on our script. Students immediately did as told, including me. This time I brought with me my black notebook so there wouldn't be any borrowing. I glanced at the girl by my side and saw she was already working on her script. I wonder what she is writing, she seems to be fond of it. I shrugged off the thought of her and continued with my own story.

I finally came up with a title, I decided to entitle my story 'Hero' it is a story of a boy who needed a hero and that is why he became one. I'll admit that most of this story is based on real life, particularly my life. But I made sure to make a different plot, but the core is still there. I wouldn't want anybody to get suspicious about my story and actually think it is related to me. That would cause a lot of problems. I named the protagonist, Henry, it was a random pick, but I think it suited the main character. The summary of the story is that – henry grew up with no parents and has been exposed to the harshness of the world. Constantly beaten down by society. So he decided that instead of fighting with society, he will save it, so he became a police officer.
