"GoodMorning, Riley!"
"GoodMorning, how are you?!"
"I'm fine, and your self?"
"Great! I ran out bagels this mornings so I decided to stop in for breakfast."
"You want a bagel Ms.Riley?" He smiled at me raising his eyebrow.
"Yes please!"
"Cinnamon, but the one with no raisin." He said as he talked over me because he knew already. "Seems like I don't have to tell you anything, thank you Mr.George."
"Yes ma'am, be back in a jiffy."
I sat at the table looking over some notes on my iPad. "Riley, my beautiful girl."
"Liam! I missed you!" I melted in his arms as he hugged me from behind then Liam shifted his body to the chair next to me. "I feel like we are always running into each other."
"I think you're spying on me." I smiled at him as he played with the end on my dress.
"Will I see this beautiful doctor after work?"
"I don't know Liam, I have quite the shift today."
"Your 12 hours shifts turns into 24 hours everyday. Even on your days off!" He laughed taking his hand to hold mines. "I love what I do and there's people out there who need my help."
"That check must be Heavy?"
"Oh, she's heavy." I raised my eyebrow smiling at him as I leaned in to share a kiss.
"Your order ma'am."
"Thank you!" I said quickly pulling away and eating my bagel. "Just a Bagel..."
"Lunch is on me today, so I'll be fine and my team deserves it."
"What about me?"
"Liam, I don't understand why you pursue me! You know I'm a busy woman." I said through my laughter.
"I'm a busy man, but I make time for you baby."
"So, are we officially together or not? Because you're not gonna waste my time and have me shuffling my schedule around you."
"If you let me take you out more we can discuss that. Everything is just over the phone with you these days."
"I have to go, Liam." I said packing up my stuff and taking my food with me.
Liam eyes burned through Riley's back as she walked away. He wanted to express his burning affection for her, but it seemed she only revolves around the clock of an emergency room and a schedule. He felt like he was losing his long time friend and lover to work.
