Chapter 12

POV Before the Battle

Voyager who was flying high above detected an anomaly ahead of her and the fleet below. Following procedures, she brought her ship to a complete stop before blasting her sensors on maximum. She found a tear in subspace leading to another dimension and just as she was about to warn the fleet, she lost contact with them. Voyager realizing that the fleet were on the other side of the tear she started investigating ways to bring them back. She had just started working on a solution when a warning came up.

Computer: Warning unidentified objects detected 1000m west of current position.

Voyager: On screen

Voyager what looked like Ship Girls but with tentacles and yellow in color. She identified them as a high-class Siren from the description from the Azur Lane girls.

Voyager: Red Alert. Target their location and standby.

Just then she heard an eerie laughing voice over the transmission.

??????1: HEHEHEHEH. What do we have here? A flying ship. Maybe it's the one causing so much loss. What do you think?

??????2: It looks like it based what the other reported back. It was not among the variables we have to eliminate it to achieve our goals.

??????3: Lets finish the job quickly before those pests from Azur Lane return. Let's see how that flying ship fare against us flying girls.

The high-class Sirens were discussing about Voyager without any vigilance. They simply did not believe that a ship can be so powerful to destroy an entire fleet on its own. By assuming that Voyager was nothing but a ship that managed to fly they made the greatest mistake. They collective opened fire on Voyager with their lasers. The lasers just hit the shields of Voyager and bounced off. The Sirens were shocked because of no visible damage due to their attack. At the same time Voyager was also shocked but for another reason.

Voyager: The way those girls talked about these High Class Sirens made me think they were something like a primitive version of the Borg. But this is very unexpected. Lasers barely damage my shield let alone my ship. First let's give them a warning maybe we can solve this dispute with diplomacy. 

Thinking how a true Starfleet crew would have responded to this situation, she decided to try diplomacy for peaceful negotiations. 

Voyager: Computer fire warning shots within 100m of the sirens. And open hailing frequencies. This is the USS Voyager currently affiliated with Azur Lane identify yourself and cease hostilities.

Siren 1: So, your name is Voyager. We are the subordinates of the Siren Queen and we have come to destroy you or capture you. 

The sirens opened fire again without care and increased their weapon power. Still, it did not have any noticeable effect on Voyager. Voyager tried the diplomacy route again stating her superior weaponry and shield and that the Sirens had no chance against her. Yet, the Sirens ignored her trying to inflict some damage. Voyager had enough of this and decided to retaliate.

Voyager: Computer target the lead Siren and fire phasers.

Voyager opened fire with its phaser banks which evaporated the high-class siren. This was too much for the other sirens. They finally understood this was not a opponent they could beat. They decided to retreat but not before a final threat.

Siren2: Just you wait Voyager, project Orochi will be your end.

The words Orochi was noted by Voyager for future investigation and informing the girls of Azur Lane. Once the sirens were out of sight, she continued examining how to enter the subspace and after 20 minutes she found a way.
