Chapter 2 Rendfall Summit

Just like that everything was thrown into chaos, all of the world leaders had to deal with the widespread panic as rumors spread of the chem baroness's rise to power. Eventually, the leaders all called for a summit and even called upon the children of apocalypse to act as representation for the people.

"Soma you will have to go by yourself." Yuri talks to Soma at their house on the boiling lands.
"Are you sure Yuri?" Soma was nervous, to say the least especially since she didn't have the best reputation with the world leaders.
"Don't worry I wouldn't leave you out to the wolves, we will come to just staying in the shadows."
"Thank you, Yuri." Soma sighs as the others walk over.

"Yuri, me, and Astrid will head out with the plan." Seraphim and Astrid get ready to leave but suddenly Sasha hugs Astrid.
"Don't leave me alone again Astrid!"
"Sasha? I won't be gone long love." Astrid kneels and hugs Sasha as the now half-demon whimpers.
"Why can't we be like them?" Selena walks over and pecks Seraphim on her cheek.
"We already are you nut, now kick some ass and come back to me in one piece."
"I always come back in one piece Lena ~" Ash walks over to Soma and holds her hand.

"Have a good time love, and try not to kill Thales."
"I make no promises Ash, but im sure I can do that." They both laugh as Seraphim transforms into her dragon form as Astrid hops on and they fly off, Sasha watches on as Soma walks over and pats her shoulder.
"You okay Sasha?"
"Y-yes...no...i know it was two years ago but...Astrid died! And I know it's her, I can see my Astrid but im so worried I'll lose her again."
"You won't if I know Astrid Storm she won't die when she has you waiting for her." Sasha smiles and hugs Soma.
"Thank you!"
"Of course now let's not keep Yuri waiting, you know how he gets when he has a big plan." Sasha nods as they head out.

The Head of the Dragon was the agreed-upon spot for the Rendfall Summit, Due to its location Makio and her council do their best to make the place look nice but it's rare a summit even happens.
"Well then everyone thank you all for coming." Makio does her standard welcomes as Soma nervously sits down getting quite a few stares from the other leaders, deservingly of course but it didn't help her unease especially when suddenly she heard Yuri's voice in her ear.

"Testing testing, can you guys hear me?" Soma hears the other children answer him including Idunn Zeta and even Gramps, she saw the man lightly wave at her from beside makio.
"Soma I can see you already just give me a light nod." Soma nods as she looks up to see Yuri in the skylight.
"Alright gang the mission is simple we use the summit as a cover so Astrid and Seraphim can sneak inside the crimson bastion and see what this chem baroness is all about." As he says that seraphim lands down and transforms back to normal as she and Astrid make their way inside the bastion, Cloaks and masks hide their identities since they are both especially known bounty hunters in these parts.

"We are in Yuri, we will keep you posted if we find anything." Yuri sits down on the roof of the building as he sighs, suddenly Sasha takes off her earpiece and starts snuffling as Gray pats her head and sits down next to her turning off his earpiece too.
"Astrid again?" Sasha nods and sits in his lap.
"Im here for you sash, but you need to work out your feelings eventually, especially now that we might start fighting again."
"Yeah sashy, if we are gonna work together you have to get your shit together~" hemo taunts Sasha before she slaps the face demon making her cough, and Sasha chuckle.
"Hey keep it down they shouldn't know we are up here." Yuri scolds them as bronya and Hideko joins him in looking through the skylight.
"And what happens when the world leaders find out we are spying?" Hideko questions as Yuri smirks.
"Simple hido, we lie and say it was for their protection...which honestly isn't fully a lie but I only care about soma and gramps's lives honestly." Ash smiled after hearing that along with Soma earning the attention of Thales.
