Chapter 5 - The Hunt P.2

|Two weeks later|
True fusion had managed to get into contact with yuya and yugo. Surprisingly, Yuzu was with yugo for some reason. They told them what they had figured out and also learnt that the same sort of thing was happening with Yuzu and Selina. But no one could figure out what was going on, it was so confusing. But Xander thought that there was someone who would know: Leo Akaba. He wanted the 'bracelet girls' as we're calling them so he probably knew. But Xander thought Yuri might know something as well. Yuri always seemed to be Akaba's favourite so it wouldn't be bold to assume that she also knew what was going on. So when the systems came back online, True fusion put a lot of effort into finding Yuri. But she was nowhere to be found... until Terrance found something using the network. "Alright what have you found Terrance?" Asked Ryan. Terrance smiled "Well by using the Main network and a bit more hacking, I found a small obelisk force camp outside the city. If Yuri is with obelisk force, she'll probably be there. If she isn't then she might still be there as a prisoner of sorts. Worth checking". They were somewhat impressed. "Let's check it out." They all nodded and left to get ready. They got everything they needed, including their earpieces, some Obelisk force uniforms, some weaponry (in case things go south) and of course, smoke bombs. A lot of smoke bombs. You may ask if that's necessary. Yes. Yes it is.
|One hour later|
The plan was made. Terrance did his usual of man in the chair and Ryan, Diren and Lysander dressed up as obelisk force members to make a distraction for Xander, James and Apollo to search the rest of the base. Apollo would search the prison cells, James would check the security office and Xander would check the Obelisk force's rooms. Xander's group had arrived at their hiding spot and Xander put his fingers to his ear, "We're in position, waiting on your signal." "Got it, heading in now." Said Lysander as the disguised group headed inside. There was a lot more obelisk force than it seemed. The question was how to distract them. Diren got an idea. "Let's ask around, see what we can find out. Might be a way to distract them." The others nodded and they went around, asking questions to the obelisk force. They found out that they hadn't dueled in ages and were craving some action. This is where Lysander got an idea. "Ryan, how about we duel to distract them?" Ryan smiled "I think that's an excellent idea." Diren however, frowned. "Why can't I duel?" "Because you've dueled plenty already, me and Ryan haven't since we entered synchro" said Lysander. Diren looked away. He was right. "Fine I'll go tell everyone." Diren walked away and started talking to people and the other two prepped their decks. After a few minutes, everyone in the base was around them, buzzing with anticipation. They both yelled out "Duel!"

" I'll start, I draw!" Yelled Lysander "I activate Ancient gear Fusion! This lets me fuse my ancient gear monsters together into a new ancient gear monster! I Fuse Ancient gear knight and Ancient gear Cannon! Fusion Summon! Ancient Gear Howitzer!!!!"

"Now I activate the geartown field spell!" A giant town of rusted metal rose from the ground. The crowd cheered, loving the action. "Now I activate Ancient Gear Howitzer's effect which deals 1000 damage to you!"

"Now I set two cards face-down and end my turn." Ryan smiled "My turn, I draw! I activate Dark world Accession! It lets me Fusion summon a dark world monsters by discarding it's materials! So I'm discarding Grapha dragon lord of dark world and parl hermit of dark world to Fusion Summon! Grapha, Dragon overlord of dark world!"

"And Goodbye to Howitzer!" "I activate my trap card: Ancient gear reborn! This lets me summon Howitzer back to my field and now The first time he'd be destroyed, he is not!" Ryan smiled slightly "Impressive. Now Grapha dragon lord of dark world and Grapha dragon overlord of dark world attack!!!" Both attacks collided against Howitzer and, together, destroyed it. "I end my turn." Said Ryan confidently. At this point, the crowd was practically screaming. And among the commotion, Diren activated his ear piece and said "They're distracted, head in now."
