Chapter 1 - The appearance of True Fusion

The city was a mess. Dozens of duel fields filled it and Dozens of duelists were at the mercy of the obelisk force. This was a sight that they had seen so many times before. They heard those familiar sounds of screams, terrified of the monstrous invaders from a misinterpreted world. The leader of the group stepped forward. "You all know the drill. Defeat every single obelisk force member as possible." All the others nodded and they all separated. The leader knew exactly where he was going. Many obelisk force members were converging on one point in the city. He knew their main objective so that must've been where they were. So he started running as fast as possible to that location.

At that very place, many obelisk force members were surrounding a small group. In said group were two ninjas one in red, the other in blue. There was also a small boy with greyish hair, a hat and jacket. The final people in the group were two near identical girls, yuzu and selina. Leading the obelisk force was a large man with an eyepatch, his name was Barret. "Alright, the chase has been fun but it's time you two come with us." Exclaimed barret. Celina shot back madly. "No way Barret! I'd rather die!". "Sorry selina, you don't have a choice in the matter"  Barret activated his duel disk, as did most of the obelisk force behind him. Selina was about to do the same when a voice was heard. "That's enough". A man covered in grey robes dropped down in front of the group. "Barret, you and I duel. If you win you get these two, if I win you back off." Barret laughed at this but Selina was furious. "Hey! Don't but in! I'm not trusting you with our safety!" The boy simply looked at her and pulled down his hood. "My name is Xander. I'm a capable duelist, let me handle this." Selina gritted her teeth. "Well if you're so confident Xander, let's go!" Barret thrusted forward his duel disk. Xander threw his cape back to reveal a stylised fusion dimension duel disk. It had many purple lines across it, like strings. And on the main screen was a strange symbol (the one on the cover). He activated his duel disk and the two's systems interlocked.

"Duel!" They both yelled.

"I'll take the first turn" said Barret as he drew a card. " First I play polymerization to fuse my panther warrior and my ancient gear hunting hound! Fusion summon! Beastborg panther predator!"

"Now I set two cards and end my turn." As Barret ended his turn, Xander wordlessly drew a card. He looked at his cards with a blank face. "Before I begin, I will state two facts. First, my current hand consists of nothing but spell cards." Barret laughed at this. "Guess you got unlucky!" Xander continued "Second, I will win this duel on this very turn!" Everyone was confused before Xander began.

"I will be beginning with the spell lightning storm!
Since I control no other cards, I am allowed to destroy all of your face downs!" A barrage of lightning struck Barret's field and his spells and traps disappeared. "Now I will activate the spell foolish burial! This spell allows me to send a monster from my deck to the GY, so it'll be shaddol Falco! Since shaddol Falco was sent to the GY by card effect, it returns to the field In face-down defense mode!" A card appeared in the monster zone face-down. "Now I activate my field spell magical meltdown! This card allows me to add aleister the invoker from my deck to my hand, speaking of aleister I'm summoning him!"

"Thanks to it's effect, I get to add invocation from my deck to my hand, and now I'll activate invocation! It lets me banish my Falco and aleister in order to Fusion summon invoked caliga!"

"Now I shall activate the book of the law! Thanks to this card, I can tribute invoked caliga to summon another invoked monster from my extra deck! So say hello to invoked mechaba!"

"Now I activate monster reborn! This card lets me summon back a monster from my GY, welcome back caliga. Now I activate the final card in my hand: polymerization! So I'm fusing invoked mechaba and invoked caliga! Great invoked Angel, descend from the heavenly plain and grant me your might! Fusion summon! Invoked Elysium!!!"

"Now I activate the GY effect of invocation, so by shuffling it back into the deck I get to add the banished aleister back to my hand! Now I activate aleister's hand ability, so by discarding him, elysium gains 1000 Atk points!"

Barret was now nervous but he thought he was ok. "So what? My monster has enough attack points to keep me in the duel and on my next turn I'll-" "There will be no next turn." Xander said, interrupting him. "Now I activate elysium's special ability! So by banishing caliga from my GY, all of your Dark monsters are banished!" Barret was shocked. His monster was gone and he was open. He was defeated.... By a kid. "Now elysium attack! Fallen paradise!" Barret screamed out in terror and upon his life points reaching zero, only a card remained.

Now that their leader was gone, the obelisk force ran away as fast as possible. And since everything had calmed down, the group were able to get a good look at Xander. He was a tall teenager with messy, medium-length blonde hair and grey eyes. He wore mostly grey and purple clothing, with a long grey scarf wrapping around his neck and acting as a cloak and hood.  He has black, fingerless gloves and black boots which are firmly strapped to his legs. Xander put two fingers to his ear and started speaking. "Apollo come in, do you hear me?" A young male voice came through an earpiece. "Hear you loud and clear Iblis. What's wrong?" "I've got the targets here with me. Give me some Ranged support." "Yes sir" The communication cut off then xander turned to them. "If you want to stay safe you should probably come with me." The group simply nodded and started following him. Xander learnt that their names were sun shadow, moon shadow, Riley, Selina and yuzu. Yuzu was desperate to find a unique boy named Yuya. Xander simply said that they had no time and continued leading them away.

Meanwhile, Xander was being watched by a purple haired girl, currently stood upon a lamp post. She snickered to herself. "Oh my dear Xander, you have made things so much more interesting. I'm sure we'll both have fun. And very soon you'll be mine~" she said this in a lustful tone. This girl would pose a problem to Xander and the others.

Eventually Xander met the man behind the tournament that led the duel academy here: Declan Akaba. Just the whisper of that last name fills Xander with fury and causes his gut to tense. Leo Akaba was the cause of Hell. He hated him with every fibre, every atom of his being. Not only did he corrupt the noble people of duel academy, he ruined the reputation of the fusion dimension and he took everything from him! "Hello Xander. It is a pleasure to meet you, I am Declan Akaba." Declan held out his hand for a handshake but Xander stepped back. "I mean no offence but I can never touch someone with..... his blood...." Xander looked away with a rageful face. "I understand" said Declan simply. He continued "I am assembling a team of high caliber duelists to go against the fusion dimension-" Xander interrupted him "Duel academy" "what?" Declan was confused. "You're facing duel academy, not the fusion dimension in whole, I know because I am from the fusion dimension" Everyone was shocked at the news. At this point all the other lancers had assembled and where also in the room. Declan was not bothered but a certain narcissistic blonde pretty boy was. "Hold on! If you're from the fusion dimension aren't you our enemy?!" Everyone looked at the boy, who was pointed out as sylvio. "If I was I wouldn't have helped your friends out." Sylvio fell silent as Xander continued to speak. "And if you're trying to ask me if I want to join your little inter dimensional boy band, it's a hard pass." "But why refuse? The lancers would have a great advantage with you on our team." Said Declan. Xander could tell easily he was the systematic type. "Well I can't because I'm already leading my own team Declan!" Everyone was once again stunned at the revelation. "Well if you aren't willing to join us, why don't you ally with us?" Xander thought about it. "Fine Declan. I'll bring my team to ally with you but first I have to make a few things clear. To all of you." Declan signaled them to listen in "First of all, just because we're allied doesn't mean we're friends so don't go acting Chumy with us. Second, our rules and ways of doing things are different from yours so don't try to change anything. Third, we will have conditions on our alliance. Fourth, I will send you all to hell if my team comes out of this alliance with injuries from you, whether they be physical or mental." Xander paused slightly. "Fifth and finally, Leo Akaba is mine. So when we get there, first chance I get I'm slitting his throat and I don't want any of you to stop me." The whole room was silent. They were going to face Leo Akaba definitely, but they were unsure about killing him. Declan decided to speak up "I am completely accepting of any terms you may lay upon us and these statements are noted, we'll keep them in mind." Xander looked at Declan. He was so systematic like his father, which frustrated him, but he could see a good side of him which made him slightly happy, he even smirked a little. Declan was like a better version of his father.... So far. "If it's not too troubling Xander, could we get the name of your team, and perhaps some rules of conduct?" Declan asked. "We're called True Fusion and all you need to know is that we use code names, so in missions call me Iblis." Xander started leaving but Declan stopped him at the door. "Iblis is the name of the Islamic entity mirroring satin, correct?" "Yes that's right" answered Xander. Declan asked one final question "Why is that your code name?" Xander clenched his fist as anger welled up within him. The reason came from Leo Akaba, he explained. "Leo Akaba..... took everything from me...... and he thinks he's god...... so if he's god, then I'm his devil." And with that Xander left the room.
