Gia, Yumi, Enzo and I spent the majority of the day at the pack house playing with the kids or helping out some of the pack members. Even though Gia and I aren't part of the pack they treat us like we are. I was brought out of my thought's when I felt tugging on my shirt, I looked down to see the most adorable 6 year old boy ever.

"Hello" he said shyly.

"Hiii" I replied as I bent down to his level ruffling his dirty blond hair.

"My name is Archer, and you are really pretty"

"Awww thanks for the compliment. I'm Maya and you" I exclaimed "You are sooo adorable" Archer stood there smiling profoundly a blush slowly making its way onto his cheeks.

"Maya, oh there you are, I've been looking for you for the past 8 minutes." Yumi stated "I see you've met Archer."    "Hiii aunty Yumi." Archer beamed

"Heyy lil man, mind if I steal her buddy?" She asked

  Archer shook his head "See you later Maya" and with that he skipped off to the back yard almost tripping in the doorway.

"Soo Alpha Koen and his Beta Dominic from the Blood Moon pack the pack nearby are visiting our pack soon and I was wondering if you and Gianna would like to stay for his arrival." The mention of Alpha Koen had Storm prancing around in my head. The heck?   "Earth to Maya, girl are you there?" She asked, waving her hand in front of my face. "I wonder if she got possessed by some evil spirit?" she muttered to herself

"Don't worry Yumi, I didn't get possessed," I replied sarcastically.

"I just.....spaced out."

"Sooo you guys staying or?" 'Please maya, we have to stay' Storm whined 'What if I said no and why are you so adamant on staying.' I asked

'Because mate is coming' she replied, growing annoyed.

'W-wha-what, m-mate.' I stuttered

"I'm going for a run Yumi, tell Gia we'll stay" I said while taking off the necklace I had around my neck, placing it into Yumi's hand. With that I turned on my heel and ran out the back door to the forest. The Deepwater pack is surrounded by miles of forest so I didn't have to go far. I ran as fast as my human legs could take me. I didn't know where I was going but I needed air. I felt Storm surfacing,wanting to shift so I let her. Though my clothes were demolished in the process I didn't really mind. I felt like I was flying, feeling the wind blow through my coat.

I knew one day I'd find my mate, but I didn't really want to after my hopes of finding my other half and escaping that place were crushed. I did escape but I'd always fear they'd find me and take me back. When we'd come of age to find our mate Alpha Holden made sure to keep us separated and if we'd disobey orders they made us watch as our loved ones died before our eyes.

'Flash back'

"No, please don't do this. I'm sorry I'm sorry please...... Please sir don't h-harm my mom" I begged tears flowing down my cheeks.

Gia, my mom and I tried to flee our pack Moonshine but we were caught by one of the guards. Alpha Holden found out what we did and separated me from Gianna, dragging her to the dungeons leaving me being held down on my knees by his Delta James as I watched sir hold a silver dagger to my mom's neck and killed her. I sobbed harder as I watched her lifeless body on the floor. "This is what happens when you disobey," he shouted. His words lingered in the air when he disappeared up the staircase. To his office.

I cradled my mother telling her how sorry I am for causing this before I was pulled away from her and dragged to the dungeon. I didn't care that I had her blood on my clothes. Now I wanted revenge.

'Flash back over'

I was brought out of my thoughts when I realised we were standing at the edge of a cliff which was overlooking a beautiful lake. The sunlight illuminates off the lake making it sparkle. I've never seen this part of the pack before. Strange. I wonder how far in the forest did we go?

Storm jumped in the lake splashing around in the water cooling herself after the run we've had. After some time she decided to play chase with a butterfly. She laid low in the tall grass eyeing her prey before leaping into the air using the paws to capture it. Moments later she released it from her grasp watching it flutter away.

'Storm we should head back soon.'

' know, I know but it's been a long time since we went on a run to just...... Be us, not being on high alert in case he found us. You know this doesn't happen very often.' she stated

'We'll stay a few more minutes then.'

Time skip<3

'Maya a wolf is coming and its aura is strong.'

'Be on alert then.'

Out from the bushes came a grey wolf, heck it looked twice my size. Its eyes were a beautiful shade of honey. I was still on alert but its eyes looked gentle but still fierce, not as bloodthirsty as other wolves I've seen.

The wolf took a step forward but I took many steps back until I realised my back was now jammed against a tree... Great

I wasn't in the mood to die today so I bolted. It caught the wolf off guard but soon it was on my tail. 'I guess I couldn't have one normal day to myself after all.' I sighed 'Told ya the Moon Goddess loves us human.' Storm snickered

Whoever this wolf is runs a lot. It runs fast, but I'm faster.

We needed a plan to lose him. How far into the forest did we go?

Jumping over a boulder I could see a cliff up ahead, more forest on the other side. Then an idea popped into my head.

'Strom I have an idea on how to get our chaser off our tail' well I'm listening. She replied sassily

'We're gonna jump over the cliff'

'WHAT, you can't be serious'

'Yes' I retorted

'You're gonna get us killed. If we weren't sharing a body I would gladly watch you jump and fail. This is your worst idea yet Maya.'

'Well then do you have a better idea?' I took her silence as a no. Jumping the cliff it is.

We jumped over the cliff, landing a little too close to the edge. We didn't even bother to look back as we scampered back to the pack. I wasn't even sure If I was on the Deepwater borders. Oh well at least we're in one piece, and not on display on the rocks below.
