4 months later...

"Maya, MAYAAAAAAAAA!!!!... GET UPPP" Gianna yelled, causing me to fall off the air mattress. Luckily the mattress wasn't too far from the ground so I didn't fall far.

'Gia' I muttered, "It's too early for this, go back to sleep."

"You know once I'm up it's kind of hard for me to go back to sleep annnd I may or may not have downed the last bit of coffee in the pot." "Annnnnd Yumi and Enzo said they're coming over in a while. "

"I'll just make more. Now that I'm awake." I said getting up from the cold floor " And define a while?"

"Umm, lets get breakfast. I'm hungry."

'Way to change the subject Madden.'

The first couple of weeks here, we stayed in the cave or motels until we met mated wolves unfortunately not in the best circumstance, who are from the Deep Water pack. Turns out their pack is close to the town and they come here often, Gia and I never got the pleasure of meeting them or other wolves in the area. They took us to meet their alpha after an incident happened with Gianna who offered us a place to stay and to join their pack but we respectfully declined their offer so instead he gave us an apartment to stay in. For that we'll be forever grateful.

That was 3 months and a half ago. We accepted on the condition that I repay them for the kindness they've shown us.

'Flash Back'

"Maya you know we can't keep going from the motel to the cave and you leaving to work at the café. Your manager is starting to get weary at the fact we don't have an address or contact number. Annd personally I find him a little creepy."

"I know, I know but I have to keep this job so we can get a place of our own to stay. Maybe in a few months when I've got enough cash we'll get an apartment and I'll quit working at the café and find another job." She looked at me then hesitantly nodded. "okay"

"I'll see you later Gia, If you need me you can always mind link." "And please don't talk to any suspicious looking people." I warned

"I won't sis, have a nice time at work." And with that she left me at the café's entrance. I watched her as she skipped along the street disappearing round a corner then I walked into the café.

'I hope Gia doesn't get into any trouble' Storm commented, I sighed before replying 'me too Storm, me too.'

2 hours later into my shift Meeri (Gia's wolf) screamed out for help through mind link.

'I'm coming Meeri.'

I threw my apron on the counter and sprinted out the doors ignoring my boss calling out to me. I picked up on her scent and followed it into an alleyway, meeting two wolves at her side comforting her?

I pushed past the male wolf who was attempting to block my entry but ended up being shoved against the wall which earned me a growl from a female wolf who was at Gianna's side.

'It's ok, she didn't mean it,' A whimpering Gia assured in the smallest voice possible. If it wasn't for my enhanced hearing I wouldn't have heard a thing she said.

"Gia what happened? Are you injured? I knew I shouldn't have left you to explore the town by yourself." I said all in one breath as I hugged her.
