After the bells test Naruto and the others went their separate ways as they were done with the test.
Naruto thought about the words that Kakashi told them. It kept repeating in his head like a chant. He didn't know why, but he felt like he needed to keep Sensei's words in his mind.
"Those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those who abandoned their words are worse than scum"
It repeated to Naruto's annoyance.
He was currently eating at Ichiraku Ramen.
"Thanks, sir Teuchi," Naruto said getting a "Your welcome Naruto," From the Ramen guy as he left after giving The Ramen guy his payment. He then leapt to the roof to rooftop as usual to avoid any interactions with the villagers.
The villagers seemed ignorant of Naruto's existence as he didn't do any pranks like he did back then.Naruto smiled at the memories of his past self like he was smiling at a small child. I mean he was a small child back then, a Small child that wanted nothing but attention and Food and also friends.
There were still many hours before the sun comes down, and he didn't know what to make of it. He could play shogi but he would get bored when he played alone.
He stopped on one of the rooftops to look around, hoping to see Shikamaru or Choji but unfortunately, he didn't find any of them.
"What should I do?" Naruto sighed to himself as he stopped on one of the rooftops and sat on the rooftop. "N-Naruto, What are you doing there?" A soft and nervous voice said to Naruto.
Naruto looked down to see Hinata. "Sup," Naruto said as he jumps down beside Hinata making Hinata jump in surprise.
Naruto didn't want to interact with someone besides Choji and Shikamaru, but Hinata wasn't a bad option.
"Hinata-chan, aren't you supposed to be with your teammates?" Naruto said. "Well, we parted ways when we passed the test," Hinata said as she looks down at her feet while playing with her fingers.
"How about you Naruto-kun?" Hinata said in a whisper. "the same as well" Naruto replied with a small smile. Hinata smiled at that, but the smile wasn't as bright or cheerful as when she first met him.
It was when she was being bullied by a bunch of older kids, and Naruto saw this and helped Hinata of course it ended in him being beaten up by the three older kids.
They stopped when one of the Hyugas found Hinata. The Hyuga saw on the ground and he hurriedly pulled Hinata away from Naruto. She didn't know why, in fact every adult seemed to avoid Naruto and she even overheard Some adults telling kids to avoid Naruto without any reason.
This all stopped when Naruto became reserved and less cheerful. He became quiet and he barely even made appearances in the village.
It stopped when Naruto didn't much interact with anyone. Maybe it didn't stop it's just that the target was not always around.
"Hinata....Hinata!" Hinata was pulled out of here thoughts as Naruto was calling out to her. When she finally came to she sees that Naruto's face was close to Hinata's. "uh-um, Na-Naruto-kun" Hinata stammeres as her face goes bright red.
"..Oh, ah, sorry, sorry Hinata-chan" Naruto realized what's going on and he gave distance between his and her face.
"Sorry, about that" Naruto as he gave a small sheepish smile. He didn't know why, but Hinata always gets flustered when he gets to close to her. It doesn't seem like Hinata hates him, he stopped thinking about it and decided it's just a habit of hers, a weird habit of hers.
"Ah, no im sorry Naruto-kun" Hinata said as she feels like she did something wrong. "..Well no problem, but it's my fault, ok" Naruto said as she pats Hinata's head as he makes a small smile. "Well, im off" Naruto said as he leaps back to the rooftops. Not realizing that he made Hinata bright red, red enough to look like a Tomato.
