K Diaz: Into the Abyss

The Angel Sent

Kimberly woke up with a pounding heart when she woke up from a nightmare. She stood at the edge of a cliff. Below were chasms and ahead the horizon were two mountains and in between them was supposed to be a sun, but there was a big yellow round moon. Around her were smoke and it wasn't dark. It's dim. Dim enough to make you not see anything. She expected a demon's voice. Deep and sounds like a thunder. But then, she heard a smooth and fine voice. "I got three souls of your loved ones." The voice said. "Bring yourself to me through a dream and abandon your body."

Kim unexpectedly cracked a laugh because this time it's different and he speaks English. And she felt obliged to speak in English too. "You don't sound like a demon. So what kind of being are you this time huh?"

The unknown demon was stunned to hear Kimberly laugh and felt no fear from her of him. Finally he found his voice "It doesn't matter. I have your nana, your friend and your beloved lola."

Horror was splashed at Kimberly's face with the souls he just mentioned. This is probably the weirdest dream. But she believed it wasn't real.

"This dream is indeed scary" Kimberly says "but a dream is a dream."

"Then I think I should let your friend and lola speak to you sweetie." Suddenly two balls of light ascend upward from below. The other one was bright yellow and the other was in different colors. "Kim!" a voice calls out and she immediately knew who it was. Hennie! "Apo!" Lola.

"What's happening?!" Kimberly awfully managed to speak. The voices came from the tiny balls of light now in front of her face.

"I was just doing window-shopping at New York via astral projection when suddenly a man in a black cloak snapped a finger at me and last thing I remember, I - - - I was choked!" Hennie's soul in bright yellow said.

"Apo! You should unlock your powers! Don't worry about us. We're safe. Not really, but we can handle ourselves! Save yourself apo! You are a demon annihilator like me! And you could take my title as the most powerful one! Wake up apo! Go now!"

Before even Kimberly could speak in response from processing all the things she had just hear and saw, the balls of lights disappeared. "BRING THEM BACK!" She screams angrily.

"Demand at me when you've unlocked your powers sweetie." The demon said obviously in delight "but sadly, you won't be able to do that anymore. Cause I'll be taking you right now when you still are powerless."

Somehow, an alien feeling and Kim could tell, something other than blood begins to stream in all of her veins. They united in an explosion at her chest, coming from the north and south of her body. It was a sensation she can't classify. Later on, all she knew is that she saw herself that time in her dream radiant white. She watched herself scream in anger and, vanished the smoke around her. What happened next is a pain.

Kimberly's head aches; trying to remember what happened next after that. "It's just a bad dream." She murmurs and gazed at the clock above her dresser. "Seven thirty." She slipped into her slippers. She walked towards her mirror and fixed her black wavy hair into a loose right-side braid. The girl in the mirror raised an eyebrow at her. "You look hideous." She said and went downstairs.
