Chapter 6

Nick's POV

"So who are you going to bring to my party tonight?" Jason asked me as we were walking to our lockers, but before I could answer, I saw a cute girl get shoved right in front of me. I stopped walking. "No! I can’t!" I heard the mystery girl say. She obviously hadn't noticed that she was standing in front of me, blocking the way through the somewhat small back hall, so I cleared my throat.

She turned around and I was amazed.

Not to sound like a creep but never had I seen someone so beautiful. She had long strait brown hair and amazing hazel eyes that I could get lost in, not to mention a body that made my mind wander to places it shouldn’t be. Wait calm down Nick. You don't even know this girl. You cant think like that.

Why have I never seen her before? How could I have missed a girl like this? We were just standing there staring at each other. Now it was her friend who cleared their throat, who then was elbowed in the side by the other girl who is in my P.E. class. Kimmi I think. The mystery girl standing in front of me glanced back at her friend breaking the trance her eyes had created for me.

"Umm.. Hi!" she spoke. Gosh even her voice was beautiful. Wait a minute Nick be cool. You don’t want to seem like a freak. "Hey, I'm Nick." I stated trying to sound as cool as I could. "I know… I mean… we have first and fourth period together so I... I'm Alana." Wow, she was so cute and her name fit her perfectly. Hold on! Did she say we have two class periods together?? How could I be so oblivious?!

As I opened, my mouth to reply the lunch bell rang signaling that lunch was over and we had five minutes to get to class. It looked like she was about to leave but before she could I grabbed her hand. "Hey, I know we just met and this is probably going to sound weird but  my friend is having a party tonight and it would be really cool if you came even though you were probably going to go anyway... Your friends can come too if they’d like?"

Okay was all she said before she and her friends walked away.

Gosh I cannot wait for tonight. Now I just have to finish school first. I turned around and made my way to my last class.

All through out the rest of the day I could not stop thinking about her. I have a major problem!! How could I have not noticed her before? I guess I just didn’t pay much attention to the girls at our school because I didn’t think that any were mature enough to not be hooking up and getting wasted all the time.

Hopefully she is different…
