i looked at the clock, it almost 2 am. i couldnt sleep. i stayed in bed, laying. "traveler ?" a familiar voice called out, startling me. i looked to my right, there sat xiao on my window. "oh xiao-! you startled me.." "sorry. it wasn't my intention." he apologized. "its fine. what are you doing here anyways?" i asked as i changed my position, now sitting on the bed instead of laying. "i wanted to check up on you." he replied, "why arent you asleep yet?" "i.. couldnt sleep."
xiao entered my room and walked over to my bed. "if i sleep with you, do you think you can finally sleep?" he asked. thinking about it made me blush. my face slightly got red. "um.. are you sure?" i let out an awkward smile. "i insist. sleeping late isnt good for you." he sat on the bed. "o-okay! if you insist.." i made room for him to lay down. he slipped into my blanket and turned to me. "goodnight, traveler." "goodnight." i felt safer and comfortable. i closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
i woke up the next day and turned around. just what i expected, he was gone. i got up as i gently rubbed my eyes. i decided not to change, its saturday anyways so i stayed in my comfy pajamas. i sighed and walked down to the kitchen, grabbing a bowl, a spoon, a cereal box and some milk. i placed all of them on the table and sat down. as i placed the milk/cereal in, i felt a presence. "good morning, traveler." xiao greeted me, "oh xiao! good morning.." i greeted back, i thought he had left already. he walked over to me and hugged me from behind, "did you have a good sleep?" "of course!" he rested his head into mine, "have you slept well?" i asked, "mhm." i guess that's a yes. "i'll be leaving soon, i just wanted to say goodbye." he stood next to me,
"a goodbye kiss."
WHAT?!?! my face grew red as he lifted my chin and leaned in for a kiss, two words, HOLY SHIT— xiao pulled away, "right. im off now" "o-oh! okay... bye, xiao!" he left me red, trying to eat my cereal. "that's an amazing start for today." i mumbled.
