Chapter 5 < Shadows And Personas >

Rin's POV

I walk over to the guys and hear their conversation,

"Y-You were awesome." The guy with headphones said.

"Persona..." The guy with silver hair whispered.

"This power....It belongs to me..." The guy said looking at his hand

"It sure does now." I said smirking at them.

"W-Who the hell are you?!" The guy with the headphones asked looking at me.

"Me?" I asked as I placed my hand to my chest.

"Well the name's Rin, nice to meet you." I said placing my hands on my hips.

"A-Are you like those monster things too?" 

Me? A shadow?

"Actually, No. I'll explain later. For now I suggest you wake up your friend there so we can get out of here and to a safe place." I said pointing at their unconscious friend.

"Chie!" 

The guys ran over to their friend and huddled around her.

"Chie! come on Chie! Wake up!" The guy with the headphones shouted.

"uhh huh?" The girl said waking up.

While they huddled around her I just stood at a reasonable distance from them and watched them with my arms crossed on my chest.

"It's about time." the guy with headphones asked.

"Are you alright?" the guy with silver hair asked.

"Uhhh what happened to the monsters?" the girl asks sitting up.

"They're long gone." the guy with headphones said.

"They are?" The girl asked.

"Yeah he slaughtered them!" the guy with headphones said looking at the guy with silver hair.

"For real?!" The girl asked surprised looking at the guy too.

"Yeah and it was freaking cool too."

"I just.." the guy with silver hair said.

"What'd you call that thing again, a Persona?" The guy with headphones asked.

"I don't really know for sure." The guy with silver hair said.

"Let me answer it then." I said speaking up.

They snap their heads to me and looked at me as if I had two heads.

"A Persona, is a power that only a few can have and control, think of it as super powers where you're the only ones who can have it." I explained.

Instead of replying they just kept looking at me with wide eyes.

"What?" 

"Are those cat ears real?" the guy with silver hair asked pointing to my head.

"huh?" I touch my head and felt my cat ears.

Oh right, it still hasn't been an hour.

"Yep they are see." I said and made them twitch.

"Woah that's so cool." The guy with headphones said.

"Who the hell cares let's just get out of here before those things come back!" the girl said standing up.

"Well then follow me and I'll take you to somebody I know who can help you." I said walking ahead towards the stage.

Yosuke's POV

That was intense!

I didn't know Narukami had super powers!

Right now we were following this chick named Rin who has long brown hair that's stops on her mid back,

She wore a white long sleeved shirt outlined with black, black and a pink skirt.

She also wore a pair of black and white knee high socks and brown colored ankle high boots with heels

And time top it all off she had silver headphones around her neck.

Now that I think about it she's kinda hot...

"Here we are."

I snap out of my thoughts and found ourselves back at the stage thing where we first arrived.

"So where's this friend of yours you talked about?" Chie asked.

"Teddie!" Rin shouts and suddenly that freaky bear from earlier appears.

"Hey it's that freaky bear!" I said pointing at it.

"Who you calling freaky! For your information I'm a bear and I'll get grizzly if I have to." The bear said.

"Anyways, let me explain to you guys." Rin said catching our attention.

"Those things or monsters you encountered were called Shadows."

"Shadows?" Chie asks.

"Yeah, shadows are like monsters who feed on your mind and kill you." Rin explained.

"Feeding on minds?" I ask.

"Yep, they feed on your mind, like your memories and feelings if not your will to go on living." 

"Wow, those things sure are scary and dangerous." Chie said.

"Yeah and the only way to defeat them is to fight them."

"How?" I asked.

"With Personas or the power that you guys witnessed earlier." Rin said.

So monsters are real? Woah.

"Enough of that for now, Teddie these guys need an exit." Rin said turning to the bear.

"An exit?"

"Yeah.'' 

"Alright then." Teddie said and stomped his foot and the T.Vs appeared again.

"Alright now you better get going now." Teddie said pushing all of us.

"H-Hey what are you doing?!"

"Hey stop! you--you freaky bear."

"I'll see you guys later." Rin said looking at us and waving a bit.

"Hey wait--" Suddenly the three of us fell into the T.V and I began to see the swirls again.

Rin's POV

"Did you really have to push them in Teddie?" I ask while putting my hands on my hips.

"Yes because the shadows are attracted to them and if they stay any longer the Shadows would surround us!" teddie said.

"You got a point there." I said nodding.

"Anyways where were you earlier?" I ask.

"Oh me? well I was walking around because I smelled a human in here."

"What a human!?" 

Did a human happen to wander here accidentally? 

if so then that human must have been attacked already.

"So what happened to the human?" I ask.

"Well her sent has already disappeared so I don't know." Teddie said.

If Teddie couldn't sniff her anymore, then that means the human has already traveled back to the human world.

"Not again.." 

"Huh did you say something?" Teddie asked.

"O-Oh no it was nothing! Don't worry about it." I said with a nervous laugh.

"I better wonder around incase there are any more humans." I said running off.

*Sigh*

Another search mission, this kind of thing never changes..
