*Thank you for reading this small story. Should have ended it a long time ago.*

*Narrator POV*

It had been 4 months since the final battle ended, Giyu was standing on the porch of the butterfly mansion looking at the sky with a smile. He heard laughter making him turn and see Kanao and Tanjiro standing under a wisteria tree flirting enough though they wouldn't admit it. The recovery process from the battle was hard on most. Tanjiro had lost his eye in the fight and had several scars littering his body. Kanao at one point had used her final form blinding herself in one of her eyes as well but yet neither let that bother them. Others didn't adapt to their injuries that well compared to them.

Inosuke had grown frustrated trying to adjust to one eye while bedridden. Right next to him in the recovery room was Aoi who was also bedridden due to her stomach injury. Giyu frequently caught them talking to each other in the middle of the night over the smallest things. Yet in the morning they were constantly yelling at each other, truly meant to be together. Across from them in the infirmary were Rengoku and Tengen.

Tengen was most of the time pissed since he had lost his arm and kept saying, 'How am I supposed to please my wife now!?', this always resulted in him getting hit over the head by one of them. Rengoku's back was severely injured by the fight however he was expected to make a full recovery, but would most likely need a cane for the rest of his life. That didn't bother him at all making a joke that it wasn't like 4 years was all that bad. He got hit over the head by his father for that comment.

Zenitsu had broke his leg during the battle which he didn't mind too much since Nezuko the human was taking care of him almost 24/7. They were so lovely dovey that it made Tanjiro comment that they weren't even married yet. No one had the heart to tell Tanjiro that while he was unconscious, Zenitsu had proposed to Nezuko as soon as he had woken up with her accepting it. They were going to tell him eventually but most likely when Zenitsu was fully healed so he could run.

Mitsuri and Obanai were due for a long recovery due to her losing an arm and him his sight. However, that didn't stop them from constantly making out like those high school couples. Making everyone in the mansion a little uncomfortable with them and causing the head nurses to threaten them with separation. They behaved after that and got married once they were released.

Genya came out unscathed from the battle due to his abilities, however, his older brother wasn't as lucky getting bedridden due to his injuries. Genya took responsibility to watch over his brother and to handle his temper.

The funerals of Gyomei and Shin were heartfelt but kept short to honor their sacrifices. Gyomei was buried in the demon slayer cemetery while Shin was buried where he requested. Shin wished to be buried with his family where he buried them all that time go before he joined the Corp. Giyu gladly complied with the final wishes finding the small abandoned hut and unmarked graves, he laid his adoptive son to rest with his family. However, Giyu gladly adds Shin's name to the Tomioka shrine back at his estate along with the one in the hallway.

This leads us to the final patients. Muichiro not much to say about him he's fine. However, for the past 4 months, Kanae and Shinobu had been avoiding Giyu much to his and Amane's worry. Giyu sighed as he walked back into the mansion making his way to the shared room of Shinobu and Kanae where they had been holed up for the past 4 months with the only ones allowed in being the nurses and family. Giyu knocked hearing a faint Who is it?

Giyu: It's me. Please I just want to talk.

Kanae: Please leave Tomioka.

Giyu: No. Please I want to know what I did wrong.
