Happy Beginnings
It's been one month since the Mugen Train incident and Giyu was still elated with the success. Not much happened the day he and Amane visited the injured slayers, besides the two Butterfly Sisters and Amane giving each other cold greetings. Luckily no-one suffered any serious injuries, with the Kamboko Squad recovering in little under a weak while Rengoku and Gyomei recovered at the end of the month and back to service. Luckily, the two sisters didn't figure out he and Amane's marriage but Amane questioned why he refused to tell them. He would defend himself saying he just didn't want to cause drama between anyone, Amane always responded to this excuse by saying keeping the secret longer will just make the fallout worse.
Now back to the present, recently Giyu's two pseudo children Aoi and Shin had both received their Hashira ranking with Aoi becoming the new Water Hashira and Shin the first Snow Hashira. He couldn't have been prouder and celebrated with the two at an restaurant. Giyu was happy for a second reason and that was because he was able to create two new hashira that originally didn't exist in his time period. But that was yesterday, today Giyu could be seen in the bedroom fixing his usual outfit for work when he heard Amane drop something in the bathroom.
"Amane? You okay?" asked Giyu as he walked into the bathroom to check on her, she was leaning against the counter with a queasy look. "Yeah I'm fine babe. Just got a little dizzy for a second, I'm fine grf-" Amane put a hand on her mouth and dropped to her knees puking into the toilet, Giyu was fast to react and pulled her hair back as she continued to puke. "Well that makes it official, we're going to Dr. Ko's later." "Giyu. I'm fine, you don't have to go with me." "Nonsense. Of course I do, you're my wife afterall." Amane sighed and conceded, after cleaning herself up and getting dressed.
It didn't take them long to reach Amane's workplace and luckily it seemed it was a quiet day for the doctor. "Dr. Ko?" The doctor turned at the call of his name revealing a older gentleman probably in his late 40s with a few gray hairs streaking in his once black hair, he was a kind man and a fair employer to his workers. "Oh, Mr. Tomioka and Mrs. Tomioka . What can I help you with today, Amane is off today isn't she?" "You are correct doctor, but my wife has been feeling under the weather lately and like the worried husband I am. I brought her here to get checked out." "Giyu, I told you I am fine. Dr. Ko there is no need to keep you busy like this."
The doctor waved off her attempt and smiled kindly, "Nonsense Amane-san. It's not busy today and I have no appointments so I'll gladly do your check up." Amane grumbled as the doctor led them to one of the private rooms, he had Amane sit down on the table with Giyu sitting on one of the relative chairs. Dr. Ko went over the usual procedures checking her temp, her breathing, her back alignment and tonsils but didn't see anything unordinary. So, he pulled up his rolling chair and began his questioning.
"So what seems to be bothering you? I see nothing physically wrong with you, so I'm curious on why you're here." Amane immediately huffed and glared at her husband who looked to the interesting plant in the corner ignoring her glare. "Like I told my husband! I am perfectly fine, I just had a small dizzy spell that caused me to puke. Besides that I am fine." "A dizzy spell that resulted in nausea....hm. Mrs. Tomioka if you don't mind me asking how often in the last 2 weeks have you had these dizzy spells along with the nausea." "Um maybe twice or more a week, why?" "What the hell Amane!" shouted Giyu with surprise while Amane turned to him with an angry expression ready to defend herself. "I didn't tell you asshole since I didn't want you to worry!"
