Iris woke up greeted by a white ceiling. She looks around and sees a wire close to her and her eyes followed and ended up at her hand. She sighed before reaching the hand with her other hand to pull it out. However, not before she can do it, someone stops her.

"Don't or I will tie your hand" Iris looks at the hand which stops her and slowly look at the owner of the hand. A stranger, who she never knows. She wants to ask who is he but instead of that, she asked something else.

"Why?" he sighed before replying to her.

"You're malnourished and have a fever. You have to keep the IV for now." Iris looked at the man who she can consider quite handsome. She looks at him for a few seconds before closing her eyes.

"Why did you save me?" Iris asked again.

"What kind of bulls*t did you ask me?! Of course, I have to save you!" Iris looks at the stranger again expressionless.

"I don't know what your problem is but suicide is not the answer. Your life is precious."

Iris sneered at him. Nothing is precious to her anymore. Her life? After everything that happened to her, she already lost everything and why not her life too? Even her 'devil' says that everything will end after that. After a few seconds of silence, her hand reached back to her other hand with the IV drip and pulled it out before the guy can stop her. The sudden pulled-out needle from her veins makes the blood rush out and the guy immediately pushed the bed button calling the nurse.

"Sh*t! What are you doing?!" the man immediately pulled out as many tissues as he can and pushed them at her bloodied arm. Iris pushed his hand and raised from the bed but got pushed back by the man's strength.

"You better stop right there or else" Iris looked into his angry eyes, questioning why the stranger really want to save her life. Even her family treated her like an animal, so why? Why did he really desperate to help her? To save her life? Why is her life precious to a stranger?

Then, she heard two nurses running to her with a shocked face and immediately taking over the man's job to stop the blood. Iris did not stop them do their work and just look at the man with her empty eyes before it starts to close by itself, knowing the nurse maybe put something that makes her sleepy.
