Third POV

"Ugh!" The grunt bounced against the metallic walls followed shortly by the sound of skin against skin before another grunt followed.

"I can do this all day," The voice was a bit heavy but it was laced with coldness and hatred. "I couldn't read your mind, maybe you don't even have one. But I am going to get it out of you,"

The sounds of flesh against flesh continued shortly before the person doing the hits grunted in his own pain. He looked down at his knuckles and noticed that they were covered in a mixture of black and red blood.

"You okay?" The caring and sweet voice of his girlfriend snapped him out of his thoughts. "I can take over if you want to. I have more experience in this than you," She suggested as she unsheathed the knife by her hip to make her point.

He was seriously thinking of letting her do it since he was starting to get tired of punching the monster across the face. "Yeah, I'll be watching if you need me, Arty," He said before sitting by the chair in the corner of the dark room.

Artemis snorted but was touched by his words. "Come on, Percy, we both know I can handle myself," She told her boyfriend before going up to the creature.

Percy just shrugged his shoulders. It wasn't that he didn't trust Artemis to take care of herself, it was the monster that he didn't trust.

The mortal goddess went up to the doppelganger with her knife in her hand, ready to deliver excruciating amounts of pain.

It didn't take long for the room to be filled with screams and the sound of meat being cut by Artemis' blade. Percy had taken a couple of mental notes on which parts of the body seemed to cause the more amount of pain when being cut or stabbed.

"You ready to talk?" Artemis asked with a cold and harsh tone as she slowly sliced the doppelganger's left forearm so deep that he was sure she was scratching the bone. "Or do I need to be a bit more internal?"

The doppelganger's screams were just like the rest of them, a monstrous, ear-piercing screech that could be heard for miles. Thankfully for them, the rooms in Bunker 9 were soundproof and didn't have to preoccupy the campers hearing their harsh tactics in information retrieval.

"I'll talk!" The doppelganger suddenly shouted as Artemis' blade went into where the lung was. "But I can't tell you an exact location!"

Artemis stopped but didn't remove the blade from his body. "Talk, loud and clear. Am I understood?" And to make her point, she slightly twisted her knife, sending another wave of pain causing the doppelganger to nod.

Line Break

"Alright, we got the information for their location," Artemis announced to everyone sitting around inside the Big House.

A hesitant hand went up before Artemis nodded at the girl. "That's good and all, but how did you get the information?" The voice came from Katie, the daughter of Demeter and councilor of her cabin.

Percy smirked and decided to respond before Artemis could be too blunt. "We were very persuasive, we'll just leave it at that,"

Everybody understood his words and was wise to not ask any more questions about how they got the information.

"Where are they situated?" Nico asked after a moment of tense silence.

"They are situated at the Grand Canyon. They said that it was because it had the most similar features to the environment they are used to," Percy responded with Artemis nodding.

"Okay, that is interesting to know for later knowledge," Annabeth commented before writing it down on a personal notepad.

"Yes, now we just need to come up with a plan to end them and stop them before their numbers grow even more and we are overwhelmed by them," Artemis pointed out and everybody nodded.
