Y/N POV:

As you entered your dorm, you felt a knot form in your stomach at the sight of Mattheo waiting for you on his bed. You tried to compose yourself and put on a smile as you walked over to him.

"Sorry I took so long," you said, trying to sound casual.

Mattheo looked at you, and you could tell he was suspicious. He had always been good at reading people, and you knew he could tell something was off.

"What's wrong?" he asked, his eyes searching yours.

You took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself. "Nothing, just had to clear my head a bit," you replied, hoping he would believe you.

Mattheo continued to look at you, and you could feel the weight of his gaze on you. You tried to block your thoughts, knowing that he could read your mind, but you weren't sure if you were successful.

After what felt like an eternity, Mattheo finally nodded, seemingly satisfied with your answer. "Okay, well, get some sleep ," he said, well entering the closet,

As he began to change, you couldn't help but steal a glance at his toned and muscular physique. You quickly looked away, feeling a little embarrassed at being caught staring.

"Is something wrong?" Mattheo asked, noticing your discomfort.

You shook your head. "No, nothing's wrong. I'm just tired."

Mattheo nodded, slipping into bed beside you. He put an arm around you, pulling you close, and you tried to relax in his embrace. But your mind was elsewhere, still reeling from the kiss with Luke.

As you lay there, you couldn't help but wonder what would happen if Mattheo found out about your little secret with Luke. Would he be angry? Hurt? Would he call off the marriage?

You pushed those thoughts aside, not wanting to think about it. Instead, you closed your eyes and tried to fall asleep, hoping that tomorrow would bring some clarity and peace of mind.

THE NEXT MORNING:

i wake up later and see mattheo getting ready, i was a little shocked as mattheo never wakes up this early

You sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from your eyes as you watched Mattheo get dressed. It was unusual for him to wake up early, and you wondered what had prompted him to do so.

"Good morning," you said, trying to sound cheerful.

Mattheo turned to you, a small smile on his lips. "Morning," he replied.

You watched as he finished getting dressed and then sat down beside you on the bed. He put his arm around you, pulling you close, and you tried to relax in his embrace.

"Listen," he said, looking at you with a serious expression. "I know something's been bothering you. And I want you to know that you can talk to me about it."

You looked up at him, surprised. Mattheo had never been particularly forthcoming with his emotions, and you weren't sure what to make of his sudden openness.

"Um, okay," you said, not sure what else to say.

"I know we're getting married, and it's not the most ideal situation," he continued. "But I want you to know that I'm willing to make it work. And if there's anything you're worried about, anything at all, I want you to tell me."

You looked at him, feeling a pang of guilt. Mattheo was trying to be understanding, and here you were, keeping secrets from him.

"I appreciate that," you said, trying to sound sincere. "And I promise I'll talk to you if there's anything bothering me."

Mattheo smiled, looking relieved. "Good," he said. "Because I want us to be able to trust each other. I think that's important in a marriage."

You nodded, feeling a little ashamed of yourself. Mattheo was being so kind, and here you were, hiding things from him.

But you couldn't bring yourself to tell him about Luke, not yet. You weren't sure how he would react, and you didn't want to risk ruining what little trust you had with him.

For now, you would keep it a secret, hoping that someday, you would find the courage to tell him the truth.
