The first thing she did after that sudden realization was go to the mirror to look at her new appearance.
Yes, she realized she had died; she didn't know how she was alive, and yes, she didn't know "where" she was, but those questions can be placed second.
Because she was at least forty centimeters shorter than she used to be and with a lot less...assets.
So, she sat down in front of the mirror and analyzed herself.
At first, she thought that she had simply...shrunk, as absurd as may be. But, in reality, she was younger.
A lot younger.
«Oh my god, I was 23» the girl touched her face, pricking her cheeks. «Now, I am, maybe...8? I think? I barely remember when I was 8 last time, and certainly, I didn't have those features»
Her skin passed from a typical beige to a porcelain white. It wasn't unusual, and it wasn't odd, like blue, but still, she wasn't used to it.
As far as she could tell, her body was healthy, without a scar or a stain. Dressed with a simple black dress that arrived just to her knees.
Okay, I still have two legs and two arms. Win the lottery on this one
Her face was a different matter.
Back then, when she was alive, she had standard features. She wasn't a striking beauty, but she wasn't ugly. She had an appearance that could be easily lost in the crowd.
The funny thing was, she never lamented that. She was pleased with her appearance, thank you very much.
But now, the face that was staring in the mirror was different.
Her face was the one of a baby, so she had plump cheeks and a soft chin, but at least she had a heart-shaped face with big eyes and plump lips.
She had arrived at the part of her body she feared the most.
«Oh my god» she whispered, coming to the mirror, «I have the eyes of a cat»
That was the only thing she could think of. Because it was true. Their shape was upturned; the black pupil slit, long eyelashes, and color was the most beautiful shade she had ever seen.
It was bright green, shining like the most fascinating emerald and brilliant like the leaves of the trees.
Well, you know what, fuck it. It's cool.
Her hair was the last thing she inspected. They didn't arrive past her shoulder.
Her chocolate brown was replaced by rich, dark grey color. However, it was an impossible color to have.
«Okay, I can understand the pupil. I mean, it's strange, but honestly, it could have been worse » She pulled her hands, feeling hurt. «This is...what? Smokey? A darker shade of silver? It looks like from an Instagram filter»
So, she checked every strand of her hair.
The roots are grey. It doesn't feel stringy, and even my eyebrows are grey.
«So, summarizing, I died in an incident. Reborn somehow inside in a room with an unknown woman, with a child-like body, cat-like eyes, and natural grey hair» She placed her hand on her face, sighing, « Fantastic. Up until a week ago, my biggest problem was studying for my exams»
The girl proceeded to slap her cheeks and get up.
«Time to find Louise-san and obtain information»
