Alvida's boat was... typical, so to speak.

Of course, it was pink. And with a lot of hearts. And with the figurehead as a duck. But, well, there is worse in One Piece.

How did Oda go from this to the cake ship of Big Mom?, Catherine thought as she lay on a tree branch near the warehouse.

Sometimes, she found it funny that if all of this had happened when she was younger, she would have fainted at the mere sight of Coby or even Alvida, but, well, she had lived in this world for 22 years and was now 30 and learned how to put her emotions behind a careless and smiling mask.

Honestly, the only thing she felt now was boredom. She blamed Oda for this. Since there was never an official date for Luffy's journey, the only thing she had was that he started sailing in the year he became 17.

So, here she was, stalking a half-ass crew for almost a month, and still no sign of Stray-Haw.

To do something, she floated near the building, and thanks to her invisibility, no one saw her.

If this was the New World, she would be concerned that someone may spot her with haki; being in the East Blue and with some pirates that aren't a real threat, she could be invisible as much as she wanted.

«Why is there dust on my bulwark? » Alvida spoke, and a wave of relief washed over Catherine.

«A thousand pardons, Lady Alvida! I-I thought I'd cleaned every inch of this ship! I'll clean everything all over again! Please--» The poor subordinate was stumbling and sweating, trying not to run into his Captain's anger.

«" Please" what? » she asked maliciously as she raised her mace and hit her subordinate.

You have to tell me how she managed to become a captain, Catherine thought as she sat on a wooden box, still invisible.

«Koby, who is the fairest throughout all the seas? »

Well, not you.

«You are, Lady Alvida! No one compares to you » Even a blind man could see that Coby was lying to the chubby woman.

«Correct! Which is why I will not tolerate anything dirty! The ship I sail must be as clean and beautiful as I am. Understand? » the poor boy was on his knees, trembling in fear « Remember, Coby, were it not for your vast knowledge of the seas, I would feed you to the sharks! But don't push your luck! »

«Y-yes, that's very kind of you» he stuttered.

«Other than that, you're worthless! Here, shine my shoes! » the Captain yelled and kicked, hurting the cabin boy even more, as he replied "Yes."

For a moment, Catherine was tempted to put herself between the Iron Mace and Coby, but she knew better because the suffering that the pinkette had to would be crucial for his meeting with Luffy.

That's why, while Alvida continued shouting about the ship's cleaning, she double taps his shoulder. When Coby turned to see the emptiness beside him, he noticed a handkerchief on the ground. He scrolled his shoulder and took it, thinking he might drop it from his pocket. He pressed it on his face, taking note of the smokey scent it radiated.

Strange, he thought and dismissed it later with a shoulder shrug.

A couple of minutes later, she flew beside the boy as he rolled the barrel on the magazine.

«What's that, Coby? Did a barrel of rum wash up on the beach? » an unnamed extra asked, with a glint of his eyes already anticipating the alcohol.

Finally, it's starting
